    Reasonably priced accomodation in Brisbane. We stayed in the city for Brisbane marathon this year. Very convieniently located. Cleaniness was a little poor in hallways.

    It's fine, looks fancy as you come in but it's extremely stingy. No robes, 2 sugars a day in the room is hilariously stingy and an empty bar fringe yet a $300 deposit. The pool area has weeds no one has bothered to get rid of, had a pile of dirty towels left on the floor. The room itself has no main light only a few lamps, no fan in bathroom, one powerpoint stopped working so we lost a lamp. We didn't want to tell the front desk as the one time we did say something the woman serving me was nice but a young guy felt the need to come over butt in and just say oh we don't actually provide bathrobes etc, and was just kinda a defensive dick, I was being very polite and just asking. Didn't explain, wasn't friendly. The breakfast is so cheap having worked in hospo long time I know many of the items, yet not cheap to have included and the coffee from the machine is absolutely disgusting. Have never had coffee this bad, so bitter and undrinkable. They seemed to have entirely different staff everyday at the front desk, never saw thew same person twice. When I checked out they said how was your stay and I said okay with minimal enthusiasm, they did not seem at all interested why, did not explain my deposit was now returned, very minimal interactions. Location is good, sauna and pool is pretty good, and spa though temp changed hugely day to next. We got un upgrade to a river view which was lovely but just a stingy hotel that does not seem to really care. ( also These Agoda categories of traveler's are very limited, went with my adult daughter and shared a room with 2 beds, just two of us, not a couple, etc)
