ARIS-APEA Villas

We liked that the property came with a nice view, the pool was beautiful, and the architecture was great. We liked the sitting areas, shower by the pool, and the kitchen.

We didn’t like that when we arrived, there was no one to greet us. I let the property know I was running two hours late, so instead of arriving at 1600, we arrived at 1800. The property manager called me and said they could come in 5 minutes to greet us when we arrived. They never came. We were able to get into the villa because the key was in the door however there were no further directions. There was a sheet about the WiFi and how to set the alarm but that’s it. The following day the manager showed up, explained that they “just couldn’t show up yesterday.” They didn’t show us around or explain any rules for the villa. We weren’t given proper directions so I feel we did not have proper expectations. For example, we were confused on whether the villas are cleaned everyday, what to do with used towels, etc. The lighting in the bathroom downstairs was poor and there was no way to see at night in the shower. Also the dishwasher was broken and we were not informed. The villa is nice but these were significant issues.

villa booked not appropriate for couples as one bedroom was in a basement with one tiny window facing the windows of the villa next door. second unit had a bedroom next to master bedroom but only one bath on the same floor. second bath was in the basement. we were charged a surcharge of E370 to move to the second unit by an unacceptably unapologetic management company based in Germany. whilst we stayed there, occupancy did not exceed 50%
