About this cottage rental
Experience peace and serenity at this Northern Michigan lake cottage getaway!
Nugent lake is a no wake/motor lake with plenty of activities including fishing, kayaking, paddle-boating or just relaxing with a bonfire on the beach :)
The cottage has been recently updated and offers plenty of space for guests. Walkout basement offers additional amenities for your stay.
Approx. 30 min. from beautiful Ludington, minutes from Baldwin and the Little O ORV trails, making this a perfect location!
*The space*
- Queen size bed upstairs with large bedroom (sleeps 2)
- Walkout basement provides a half bath, separate finished bedroom space equipped with a bunk bed (sleeps [2] - twin on top, twin on bottom) and (2) separate twin beds - plenty of space for the kids or larger families!
- (2) kayaks (1 sit-in and 1 sit-on-top)
- Floating "lily pad" Foam Pad mat (12'x6') for fun times on the beach!
- (2) person paddle-boat located on our beach
- Corn hole game set to play on the beach (game located in basement)!
- Fishing poles, gear and tacklebox
- Propane grill on deck
Note: there are (2) doorbell-type security cameras located near the front and rear doors of the cottage for added security for our guests.

We loved this place! It was nice, clean and comfortable. Its pretty quiet during the week, I think must folks there just come up on weekends. We basically had the lake to our selves. Ludington is just 30 min west, lots of stuff to do there if you wanna go out. Went to the sand dunes and rented side by sides and it was a BLAST !!!!! Every one in gang was saying how much fun they had as we were pulling out.

My husband and I went with our four kids (ages 4-11) and our little weiner dog for a few nights. We had a great time enjoying the beach and playing games. My kids absolutely loved the beach, sand toys, paddle boat, and kayaks that were provided. It was so nice that the owners also provided several different sizes of life jackets and more beach towels than you could possibly need. We brought food and ended up not even leaving the cabin - it was so nice to just be there and relax!

We had a great time at the cabin on the lake. The indoor activities were great, the access to outdoor activities on the lake was an added bonus.

Perhaps we were just unlucky with timing, but our stay didn't meet expectations. The first-floor air conditioning units (which were not shown in pictures) couldn't keep us comfortable the first few nights; there were some power outages while we were sleeping and out of the house that seem to be related. And we were surprised by construction the first few days on the 3-mile dirt road in to the lake, which made it especially cumbersome to go anywhere.
The twin bunk bed in the basement wasn't very sturdy, and squeaked loudly any time the kid sleeping there moved, disrupting the other kid's sleep. The thin mattress made the futon there a poor alternative.
Equally disappointing was the hosts' insistence that our concerns weren't valid because they had many good reviews on the other major booking platform (which we hadn't seen). We had relied on their description, which we didn't believe to be fully accurate.
On the plus side, the lake was beautiful, the house was cute -- with a new kitchen and bathrooms, and the hosts had provided a lot of amenities to help keep us entertained.
