Location, location, location!- minutes from Spanish Springs Lake Sumter Landing

This property was the right price and location for us. It had everything my teenaged sons and I needed for a visit to my mom in the villages. There are some small things (and a couple large ones) that could make this rental a little less of a rental and a little more homey. First the positives: pretty well stocked - appreciated the bathroom and kitchen necessities. Coffee and Keurig were awesome. Master shower spacious and nice. Beds were comfortable. Three TVs so we could all watch what we wanted. The place was clean. Room for improvement: the outlets in the master bedroom are very inconveniently placed. A power strip would make a big difference. Maybe one of each side for phone and accessory charging. Clearly people move the bed a lot to reach the outlet behind it because there are scratches on the wall from the headboard. We woke up to ants in the kitchen after leaving some dishes in the sink. I know this is Florida and ants are pretty common. I wasn’t thinking I couldn’t leave dishes for one night though. Manager was very responsive and brought spray over. It seems the owners maybe don’t want to do the regular bug spraying that most people do there. Or whoever they use is not effective. The kitchen table had very wobbly legs and could use some repair - wood glue or something. The laundry basket provided was nice but completely broken and time to replace. The sun room was lovely but very sparsely outfitted. Overall everything was fine for the price. It was a good deal.
