CENTRAL CAMBRIDGE, CHARMING 3-Bed HOUSE WITH FREE PARKING!

The accomodation was comfortable and had lovely decor and a small patio with a artificial lawn. The house was in a cul de sac with a 15 minute walk from Jesus green and the river. We enjoyed our stay very much and managed to fit in a punt on the river, swimming in the outdoor lido, a few pub visits, a games night and a trip to Ely for afternoon cream tea.

Few snags - toaster didn t work, curtain in twin room was falling, fence in back garden needs a quick fix. Nothing major - already sent to Damion who is already on it.

House was very clean and modern. Spacious for our family (5 year old and baby). Nice garden and very handy driveway to park our car. Location is really good. Excellent cafe/bakery down the road. Travel cot (no sheet) and highchair were provided (must bring cot mattress but that's the typical issue with travel cot as otherwise rock solid). Nice amenities provided: plenty of dishwasher tablets, hairdryer in every room, towels, shower gels, biscuits to name a few.

The curtains are truly appalling and are merely for decor. I brought the baby travel blackout curtain as a precaution having read a previous review. It did the job for one room but for the other bedrooms we had to block using extra covers and towels, not ideal. The single mattresses in the bedroom with two singles are terrible (think worst spring mattress possible). Otherwise the mattresses in the other bedrooms were comfortable. The worst part of the sleeping experience however was due to a very small but loud group of neighbours. I hate to mention it because it's not the fault of the owners whatsoever but every single evening, there were kids on their bikes revving and playing balls until at least 9pm when parents finally realised it was bedtime, shouting across the cul de sac with of course some resistance from the children. I understand it's the summer time and it's school holiday but it went on far too late and it was very noisy and woke me up every single night. Having said that, the noise and the curtains (or lack of) might not be a problem for those staying during the winter.

Locatie is prima, loopafstand naar centrum (30 minuten), aantal kamers en bedden goed, keukeninrichting zeer compleet. Fijn parkeren op eigen terrein. TV met netflix.

Bank in de woonkamer was stuk (poten afgebroken) Gezien de beschadigingen op de vloer was dit al een tijdje. Melding gedaan en volgens de eigenaar had de vorige gebruiker dit gemeld maar ze hadden nog geen tijd gehad om dit te fixen..... er zou de volgende dag iemand komen. Die kwam niet en pas na de 3e dag was het gemaakt... door de poten eronder vandaan te halen. Hierdoor staat de bank op de grond zonder poten wat niet echt comfortsbel is. En dat terwijl de eigenaar een lijst heeft wat allemaal niet mag in het huis zorgt hij niet echt voor een passende oplossing.

A lovely home from home in a peaceful location. Exceptionally clean with new kitchen and bathroom. Beautiful, quiet garden.
