Perfect, would love to go back

We stayed for 6 nights, departing on 23rd December and can honestly say this place is magical, in the middle of the forest on the edge of a lake, a tranquil winter wonderland! The indoor sauna was perfect for warming us after a day in the cold and the outdoor hot tub was amazing, from which we saw the aurora on 2 of the 6 nights (a truly bucket list moment). There is a steep hill running from the property down to the lake which the kids absolutely loved sledging down and had endless fun with (sledges all provided by the property). Inside of the property was immaculately presented with everything you could ever need for a stay of any duration, tastefully decorated and we even had a Christmas tree 😃. Katja was an amazing host and kept us updated where needed via what’s app which was perfect.

The isolation of this place may not suit all, we were an hour from the centre of Rovaniemi so would definitely recommend shopping before you arrive, we hired a car so this was easy, although I think we were a bit unlucky with the weather (or lucky depending on how you look at it) it had snowed heavily before we arrived and during our stay this just turned to ice and made the roads perilously dangerous, we didn’t let this stop us though and have lived to tell the tail (honestly if you are a nervous driver on snow and ice then this place is not for you, my wife spent the entire time that we were driving with her eyes closed)

The perfect villa in silent at a lake with a little fireplace.

The villa was very beautiful and Katja is a wonderful person! There was a little welcome present, a short introduction and the day trip to the farm was our highlight. The villa had everything we needed and even more. We were a group of 6 and hat enough space for everyone. We would book this villa again and again a BIG THANK YOU KATJA for making our trip to Lappland so unforgettable.

Magnifique villa face au lac entourée de forêt

La villa est magnifique, perchée au dessus d'un lac gelé en hiver. l'intérieur avec salon cathédral est neuf, lumineux et décoré avec goût. les lits sont très confortables, la cuisine est très grande et bien équipée, la cheminée avec tout le bois nécessaire, le sauna est très agréable et le hot tub (en supplément) sur la terrasse est génial. Bonne connexion wifi. On est seul au monde, la propriétaire très gentille et disponible habite à 700 mètres dans une ferme de rennes où nous avons fait du traineau tiré par des rennes suivi d'une bonne boisson chaude avec des gâteaux autour d'un feu. Nous avons marché sur le lac gelé et fait de la luge. La route d'accès est très accessible avec toutes les voitures équipées de pneus neige. Très bel endroit pour ceux qui veulent s'éloigner du centre de Rovaniémi qui est à 50 mn en voiture.

Juste des peignoirs en plus pour sortir du hot tub en hiver serait appréciable.

Un séjour exceptionnel dans un lieu d’exception

Absolument tout : emplacement exceptionnel, accueil incroyable, maison magnifique et très bien équipée (vaisselle en quantité, appareil à raclette, jeux de société, enceinte, luges, raquettes, nécessaire à pic nique)

Rien à redire, si ce n’est le prix de l’option du jacuzzi extérieur qui n’est pas proportionnel à la durée du séjour
