About this house rental
On a quiet, nearly private cove in Terrell, NC is Lake Escape's Cottage on the Cove, a completely renovated lakefront home on Lake Norman. Beautifully landscaped 3 Bedroom ranch, with open concept Kitchen, dining, living room. The front porch is a great place to laze away the days with a cool breeze coming off the lake. The finished garage is heated and cooled and is loaded with games and space to get out of the heat or rain or just spend an evening hanging with the family away from a TV.
The Kitchen / Dining area features white quartz countertops, tiled backsplash, and stainless appliances. We have fully equipped it with quality pots, pans, flatware, dishes, serving ware, utensils, and small appliances. A large fan overhead circulates the air. The large island provides a hub and dining area for up to 8 people. Moving forward of the kitchen dining room is the living room with a grand lake view out the front window, a 65" Samsung Smart TV with Roku, and a sofa bed which opens into a queen size bed for a seventh or eighth guest.
Bedrooms feature a lake vibe with shiplap feature walls, artwork, ceiling fans, lamps, Amazon echo alarm clocks, power points on the night tables. The bedroom closets have hangers and drawers, with a hotel style safe in the master closet. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom with tub - shower. The hall bathroom serves the other two bedrooms and the general area with a stall shower.
The outdoor living space is vast, with a large front porch - 4 rocking chairs, a dining table for 8, and a lovely porch swing. Down the front porch steps is space to hang, grill and enjoy the lake. For the firepit, we provide firewood, six solid Adirondack chairs circle it. Included for you use just steps away is four adult kayaks, one youth kayak, 2 stand up paddle boards, a generous selection of life vests for all sizes, and a bevy of tubes, noodles, ladder golf, Can Jam... with a large grass yard to play. There's two hammocks and tree swing to enjoy the shade. 8 extra Adirondacks stand by for extra guests.
Are you a boater? Rent a boat during your stay from Lake Effects. Bring your own boat or PWC and launch at the McCreery Public launch ramp down the road. Keep it at our private dock. Swim from the dock or wade in via zero entry lake edge. We have thought of everything so you won't need to think about anything but completely enjoying your stay.
Please be aware that the water level at the dock may not be high enough for boat access in the non-summer seasons.

*Security deposit of $750 will be reserved 3 days prior to arrival (see House Rules below).
* Maximum Overnight Occupancy for Cottage on the Cove is 8 guests.
* Maximum Daytime Occupancy for Cottage on the Cove is 12 guests.
* All Lake Escape homes are dog-friendly and allow up to 3 dogs ($150 per pet fee applies) Cats are not permitted.
* Unlimited, Complimentary firewood is provided.
* Complimentary propane is provided for use with the outdoor grill.
* Complimentary kayaks, standup paddleboards and lifevests are provided.
* All of our homes feature private docks. Please check with us to confirm depth at specific homes as lake levels change seasonally.

Where do i start. Communication with Jessica was fabulous, she was always available and responded very quickly. Checkin was so easy. Now the house, let me tell you this house was on point. The way they set this cottage up was amazing, its located in a perfect coce that provided peace, quietness and tranquility. It had all the necessities for enjoyment. Kayaks, firepit, swings, fishing dock; (I would suggest a canoe or pond fishing boat added), swimming and thats just on the outside. The inside was just as elaborate with the gameroom, tvs in all the rooms, and board games. Kitchen setup was spot on. Loved the coffee and tea. Located near eateries in both directions, we couldnt ask for much more. As soon as we stepped on the property, we wanted to find some funds to buy it from Jessica and Adam. This was by far one of the best home we've had in a while. It doesn't matter if its just two of you or the whole family, this place is perfect. Our next visit to the area, might include renting a boat to see more of the lake.Can't stress enough how much we loved our stay and will definitely be adding the home to our favorites.Clayton and ReginaWaverly, GA

Perfect place for our family gathering. Quiet, fishing off the docks or kayaking during the day, eating dinner at the large table on the deck or sitting around fire pit at end of the day. Game room and the little touches made our so very enjoyable.

Everything about the house was absolute perfection! We thoroughly enjoyed being on the water, and utilized the fire pit and kayaks during out stay during a long weekend in April. Our family of 6 had more than enough room and made some wonderful meals in the fully stocked kitchen - not to mention making many wonderful memories! Easy check-in and check-out - simply wonderful in every way!
