Dinner - we had no traditional food choices, and too expensive for the value and quality. Probably this was the biggest issues. Having more Romanian food choices would better complement the theme of the property. Stairs are a little difficult for people with mobility issues - adding a support bars to access the rooms would be helpful

Definitely one of the nicest places to stay in Romania currently. Carefully and tastefully restored authentic traditional houses with a lot of attention to detail, in an idyllic garden, surrounded by wilderness. The staff are wonderful and the restaurant is very good. A little difficult to get there, as it's very remote, but totally worth it.

The food and the views, especially from the top of the hill, are truly impressive and offer nearly 180 degrees of breathtaking scenery. The cleanliness of the place is also a big plus. Being personally greeted and walked to the room is a thoughtful gesture, but I would have preferred the flexibility to check in at any time and go to the room on my own. For a stay that is not exactly budget-friendly, a premium experience should feel complete in every aspect.

From the start, I knew we’d be late due to traffic. I called ahead, and a woman assured me it was fine to arrive around 11 PM instead of 9, and they’d waive the late check-in fee. This rule was only disclosed after making a non-refundable payment. Traffic out of Bucharest and highway construction delayed us further. At 9 PM, I called again to say we might arrive around 1 AM and could stay elsewhere. She said it was fine and thanked me for the update. When we arrived, despite the earlier agreement, the man there insisted on charging us 150 lei per person for late check-in. It felt like this sudden change was based on us arriving in a premium rental car: a classic case of “you look like you have money, so let’s charge extra.” Inside, we found strange rules, only shared after payment. No music without earphones, no bringing your own food or even water. We were told to drink tap water from a spring and buy everything from their bar. The next day, while trying to rest, we were disturbed by what seemed like a porn shoot upstairs. The place has zero sound insulation, you can hear everything, even from the bathroom next door.
