Duomo Guest House

El dueño nos atendio muy bien, agradable y servicial. nos ayudo a subir las maletas de mi mujer y a recogerlas del coche, haciendonos comentarios de donde aparcar sin problemas.

La entrada es de un edificio en viejo, parece ser que es un antiguo convento y ponen muchas pegas para reformar el exterior e interior del patio. De entrada nos pareció algo cutre pero luego las habitaciones que estaban reformadas eran magnificas, nada que envidiar a las de un hotel de 4*. El único problema por decir algo son las escaleras, pero merece la pena alojarse en el, esta en una calle peatonal frente a la entrada de la catedral.

Posizione ottima, vicino ci sono parcheggi gratis, stanza silenziosissima in pieno centro praticamente di fronte alla cattedrale. Colazione compresa da poter fare in due locali tutti e due di buonissimo livello. Gestori molto cortesi e accoglienti.

We really enjoyed our two night stay at Duomo Guest House. We arrived by train and Giulio gave us really good instructions on how to reach the property. Check in was smooth and quick. He was available to answer questions and give recommendations for restaurants in the area. The rooms are on the second floor and you access them through a secure door into a courtyard and then up to another secure entrance door. Our room was modern, bright and very clean. The bed was comfortable and there was a small fridge and water in the room. The location is fantastic. Right in the historic centre and directly behind the Duomo Cathedral which had a lot of activity. There were many shops and restaurants nearby and the evenings were very lively! Located near the property there is also a fountain with drinking water that you could use to fill up your water bottles. It is also a short walk to the beach. Breakfast is served in a nearby cafe/bistro. You can choose between the Brooklyn Cafe or Cavour. You bring a voucher with you and they serve you breakfast. We ate both times at Brooklyn as it was nice and close by. Our breakfast was a traditional Italian breakfast, coffee, juice and a cornetto. We found Barletta to be very welcoming and even with our limited Italian we got by just fine. I highly recommend this location for your trip to Barletta. Thank you again!
