Гостиница"Hostel"

This is a cheap hostel for cheap people so one can hardly complain about the state it is to be found in. The room and bathroom both serve their function. A huge boost to the rating the check in and out times. Your check out time is the same as the time that you checked in so you get the full 24hrs. Very handy when waiting for your train to escape Karaganda.

My one gripe concerns a conversation, or lack of one, I had with a member of staff. Like most foreign visitors to Karaganda, I was only visiting as I wanted to see the Gulag musuem that's situated a 40min drive from the main town. I was unsure on how to get there and whether it would be possible to get a taxi back from the Gulag town or if I might get stranded. I asked the woman behind the desk, on Google translate of course, and she typed back a meaningless and listless non-response about getting a yandex. I typed back my concerns with this and if there were other ways to visit the musuem. She made a shrugging motion and returned to whatever she presumably thought was more important than me. Surely she had been asked this before by many other tourists in the same situation as myself and could give a better answer.

Friendly staff and good facilities.

You csnt lock your own door when leaving which seems a little weird.

L'équipe de gestion est sympathique, et l'une des personnes parle anglais. Nettoyage régulier et impeccable. Nombreux bus passant près des gares de train et bus (2, 42,43,53...), et à pied, 20 min de la gare via la passerelle par dessus les voies ferrées...

La porte de la chambre ferme de l'intérieur mais pas de l'extérieur... il y a un casier fermant à clef pour mettre son bagage, mais il n'est pas très grand. il faudrait mettre des pitons et un cadenas pour chaque porte de chambre. Il y a très peu de couverts dans la cuisine, les poeles sont usées (antiadhésif abîmé, etc...), mais le reste de la cusine et du coin repas est bien.

Good room, facilities in kitchen were fine. Friendly reception.
