Beautiful Menton

Absolutely stunning building with a lovely tropical garden in front, built in late 19th century originally as a hotel. Secure, gated access at front of the property, code entry. Our apartment was terrific. The two double bedrooms are good sizes, with one ensuite. All amenities needed in the kitchen. The terrace along whole length of the apartment is perfect, ideal whether you want to sit in full sun or in shade under the canopy. We got in touch with the property contact before travelling to Menton, Damien responded very quickly and met us when we arrived after 10pm. He was available for comms throughout our stay if we had any queries - it's great to have that when needed.The photos in the property gallery are excellent and accurate - can't say that for all properties listed, some can turn out to be a little misleading as to actual size! We had breakfast outside every morning - special mention for the fab coffee machine/milk frother 😋 The location was perfect as per other reviews, close to shops for supplies or wandering along the lovely streets for a bit of retail therapy. Short walk to the beach, port and old town. The train station is 10mins away, very much worth it for taking trips to fantastic places such as Nice, Monte Carlo, Eze, Antibes or into Italy, as Menton is near the border. Lots of cafes and restaurants, mix of old and new architecture. Overall, a stellar building and location, marvellous sunny weather - would definitely go back 🥰

There is no air conditioning, a real challenge if visiting in the hottest months, but there are large electric fans in the bedrooms which helped. Take your own hand fans with you in summer, we were very glad to have ours!

A lovely apartment in a beautiful building with history.

We loved the terrasse which ran the length of the flat and overlooked beautiful gardens, with table and chairs for dining outside, plus other chairs for sitting outside each bedroom with coffee in the morning. The apartment is furnished with an elegant mix of old and new.

AAmazing apartment in an amazing location

We loved the location, the calm the charming apartment. Amazing. Our host was fantastic. This is a very special place, for old style Menton lovers. We were delighted. Near to everything interesting: beach, main street.... Unexpected in all the good way. Lovely stay.
