Lotus Stay Manly - Apartment 29C

Fantastic location at a fantastic price, especially the size of the place (2 bedroom apartment, could comfortably sleep 5, and potentially sleep 7 with fold out couch)

Older decor and fittings, basic mattress, basic kitchen supplies (all functional, but just a bit old and hadn’t been renovated for awhile)

Excellent accommodation for a small group, great location, close to the beach, restaurants, wharf, bars etc. We stayed here for a night out in Manly and to go to a Sea Eagles game and everything was great. Close to the beach street which is a beautiful walk on a sunny day.

Parking is tight, off street but not fully secure however it was decent for Manly where parking is very busy. Building has some wear and tear but it was fine for us.

Location and spatial living area.

Whilst we enjoyed our Sydney stay immensely, I feel compelled to raise some maintenance/ cleaning issues which lessoned our enjoyment staying in your apartment. Dirty fridge – see picture. Dirty ventilation grills – see example picture. Indeed, the dirtiness of the one above the single bed made it uncomfortable my daughter to sleep below. See picture. Balcony light not working. Ceiling lights generally dirty with numerous dead insects inside. Toilet flush faulty at times. Loose bathroom towel rail. Broken hook on the back of the bathroom door. Bathroom door lock broken off and not replaced. See picture. Loose bathroom mechanism screw to the extent it impeded door closure and I had to remove it. You will find it on the sink window ledge. See picture. Why only one key for 4 adult guests? The pilot would not switch on / off the TV. We had to do it manually. The balcony door lock was hardly functional. The main bed headboard to base connection was so loose that every movement in bed caused an irritating and noise that would often wake us up. Broken and rusty clothes drying rail which could only be used by propping up one side with the floor brush – see picture.
