One block to Quai des Grands Augustins and the Seine river banks at Pont Neuf. 3 minutes to Place Dauphine, Ile saint Louis and the sainte Chapelle. Short walk to Notre Dame cathedral.4 minutes walk to Saint Sulpice, the Luxembourg Gardens, the Deux Magots. Tv didn’t work, heat couldn’t be adjusted,hot water pot worked intermittently , no instructions for washer/dryer. Some late night street noise Lots of stairs.

Overall it was comfortable and we had a pleasant stay. The location of the property and the area we were in is excellent. You can walk to most major attractions and there are lots of restaurants and food options. The building and unit has full security. The host was great, let us check in early and offered lots of advice about the City. The beds are comfortable; there is some street noise, especially on the weekend so expect your sleep to get interrupted from time to time. The living room is lovely, with a nice sitting area, however the only tv is in the bedroom. There are some things that were not clear in the listing when we booked, although it seems to have been updated since. The unit is on the third floor, and you have to walk up four flights of stairs. The mezzanine for the second bed is accessed by a steep ladder and the shower is a rain head over a jet tub, so getting in and out is a challenge especially when everything is wet. The tub really could use a grab bar for safety. With two large windows, there is no privacy in the bathroom. The kitchen is very small, the appliances work but are very dated, and it could use a little decluttering and cleaning. Definitely some pros and cons for us.

The greatest advantage of staying here was the location. Practically everything we wanted to do or see was in the neighborhood or just across the river. We could walk just about everywhere and we did. The three of us had celebrated our 70th birthdays this year and we were challenged by the walk up 50 stairs, lack of fans (only one was in the apartment and we immediately bought another one) or AC during the heat wave, climbing the ladder to the loft, and lack of safety features in the bathroom. Two of the three guest tripped and fell going into the bath leaving us with scrapes and bruises. The kitchen was adequately stocked and the small refrigerator was expected. However, we sure did miss having ice for drinks to cool us off. The loft was so dusty footprints were left all over the floor . There was a lot of old ingredients in the kitchen. Coffee was stale in the opened bags and except for the sugar, salt and pepper, we decided not to use anything in the cabinets. In the bath room’s lower cabinet drawer were lots of old and partially used miscellaneous bathing items and I found the smell very unpleasant when I opened the cabinet doors for a towel. The new towels and loft bed linens were nice. We all appreciated finding the supplied laundry soap, dishwasher detergent, trash bags and cleaning items. The apartment was lovely and very comfortable but with the windows open, the street noise and trash trucks were quite loud early and late.
