The location was outstanding, offering the perfect balance of tranquillity, convenience, and beautiful surroundings. The house itself was immaculate, comfortable, and thoughtfully presented, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. What really set the experience apart were the small personal touches. Being welcomed with biscuits and fresh milk was a genuinely thoughtful gesture and greatly appreciated after our journey. It is these little extras that make a stay memorable and show the care and attention of the hosts. To top it all off, the first cup of tea we made on arrival was probably the best cup of tea I have had in a very long time. It was the perfect way to settle in and start what turned out to be a wonderful stay.
There was one issue with the facilities during our stay. The hot water in the bathroom was extremely hot, and despite our attempts, we were unable to adjust the temperature. As a result, the water was too hot to use safely, and we were unfortunately unable to have a shower.

The cottage is gorgeous. Very inviting and nicely decorated. There was a welcoming food package of crisps, biscuits, bread and some drinks which was very kind. The village is lovely, the Ferry is a good pub for food and drinks and it is a decent but lovely walk along the canal into Lincoln. We had only one complaint which unfortunately spoiled our stay - the shower temperature dial has stiffended, probably from water scale, and was totally stuck on scalding hot and seemed to have been stuck for some time before. We wrote to the owners and never heard back from anyone which was very dissapointing given there was 4 of us that needed to shower each morning. We had cold showers everyday ;-(
As noted above the shower temperature dial was stuck on scalding hot water and no one responded when we tried to contact the owners to report it. This meant we had to have cold showers everyday which spoiled our stay
