H'mong Cổ Trấn Sapa Homestay & Restaurant

A really welcoming family runs the homestay - they are very friendly, helpful and accomodating. They were able to offer us an early morning check-in after our overnight bus, incluing arraging a taxi from the center of Sapa; they prepared healthy and tasty food catering to our dietary preferences, and gave good suggestions on things to do in the area. Our room was clean and comfortable, with lots of privacy and good internet. The homestay is located about half way between Sapa town and Ta Phin village, which features a large cave and highly recommended herbal baths - our hosts suggested a really rewarding self guided trek to get there, and would have been happy to arrange ua a guide had we wanted one.

The comfortable bed would have been even nicer with extra pillows (but I fear I'm being a bit of a princess to suggest that, and I didn't ask for more than what was provided).

Гостили в конце июля-начале августа. Приехали на 3 дня, но остались в итоге на 10 дней. Отличное место для отдыха вдали от города, завораживающие виды на горы непосредственно из номеров, тишина. Номера уютные, шустрый интернет. Владельцы - семья, очень отзывчивые, доброжелательные и честные люди, готовые помочь с любыми вопросами (обращались к ним по вопросам приготовления блюд не по меню, бронирования транспорта, обмена валюты и проч.)

Концепция отдыха в этом месте предполагает питание в ресторане, поэтому в номерах нет холодильников и к-либо приборов для приготовления или подогрева пищи, только чайник.

En dehors de Sapa, ville que nous avons trouvée assez défigurée par les constructions, ce homestay en pleine nature est une véritable bulle d’oxygène. Le bungalow familial est très spacieux, avec une magnifique vue sur les rizières et une literie très confortable. La famille est absolument charmante. Ils tiennent un restaurant végétarien et vegan au sein du homestay : la cuisine est délicieuse et variée. La propriétaire, ancienne masseuse, nous a fait un massage pieds et jambes extraordinaire, presque thérapeutique, avec du baume du tigre et des préparations locales à base de plantes. Après un trek, c’est exceptionnel. N’hésitez pas à demander ses services, elle ne les propose pas spontanément. Deux petits chiens adorables viennent aussi réclamer des câlins. Les propriétaires sont souriants, profondément gentils et bienveillants.

Petit bémol : le petit déjeuner inclus est assez léger, une soupe végétarienne pas top pour le matin et le café ou thé est en supplément.Il faut prévoir un complément à la carte dans son budget pour le petit déjeuner mais la chambre et tellement peu chère que ce n’est vraiment pas gênant, il faut juste le savoir nous recommandons vivement cet endroit!!!

The location is lovely, the rooms are comfortable. The restaurant offers delicious (over any expectation) vegan food, a great variety. We got the sleeper bus from Hanoi and the a taxi for the last kms.

It’s not the hotel’s fault. I disliked the fences and gates you need to cross if you want to go sightseeing up in the mountains.
