In summary, a place to sleep, no real ‘touches’ that would elevate it. No welcome pack, no obvious information e.g., how to guides, we found by accident the instructions for operating the cooker and the heating. In essence, no sense of making it a holiday home, other than its mere existence. The road at the end of the drive is busy even though it would appear to be a quiet country lane - there was a steady stream of cars which did distract from the birdsong and overall tranquility of its surroundings.
