    Great value and good location. However, it is too steep to attempt with luggage, taking a cab was excellent advice from the hotel. The tablet check in system was user friendly. And the washing machine in our hotel room with a drying rack was an excellent amenity to utilize.

    It’s a great place to stay in Atami and I would probably stay here again. The only thing to note is that it’s not very walkable I wish I knew this before arriving I think they have it posted somewhere but I’ll just leave this review here in case you’re like us who missed it; While the actual location is very close to Atami station the walk all the way to the hotel is very hilly you would have a hard time walking there with luggages or if you’re with elderly or children other than that you get your money’s worth. There’s almost none/little staff interaction as well but you wouldn’t need it as much as I thought you would as everything is very streamlined.

    Pros: cheap, has lots of amenities, my apartment size was huge and clean for Japan Cons: it is uphill and far from many attractions, there are dead bugs on the shared area carpet when we went, the hotel is out-dated
