About this cabin rental
North Star Retreat is a lakeside duplex-style cabin located on beautiful Somo Lake, in Tomahawk WI. Vacationing with a group but need separate spaces? This completely renovated cabin is for you! Each side has a full kitchen, living room with smart TV's, and full bathrooms. Fully remodeled in 2021, the cabin has all new mattresses, bedding, appliances, and more! Newly added windows in the main living room showcase panoramic lake views and spectacular sunsets. The two units are only available to be rented together as one large cabin, and the two sides connect via doors in the kitchens (next to the refrigerators, see photos).
We have a large parking lot to accommodate your trailer, so bring your boat, ATV's, or snowmobiles! North Star Retreat is located directly on the Northwoods Passage trails (Zone 1) and next door to the boat landing. Less driving, more adventures!
Perfect for kids, the sandy, walk-out beach is steps away and includes a boat dock and stamped concrete patio with fire pit. Somo Lake is a 400 acre, full recreational lake with clean water. We provide many amenities to make travel with kids easier - pack n plays, monitors and more.
North Star Retreat has completed the Lincoln County Department of Health inspection, and is in compliance with all Lincoln County Zoning short term rental requirements, holding the appropriate permits.

Great stay at the duplex! We enjoyed the lake and the included kayaks and paddle board. Very clean, well stocked property!

The place was perfect. Right on the lake with kayaks and a paddle boat. Kids were able to fish right off the pier. The kitchens were stocked with everything needed and beds worked out perfectly for the 14 of us in 4 different families. The place is so clean and organized. Going into Tomahawk and Minocqua for dinners and activities was easy too. Highly recommend!
