About this house rental
Apple Valley Villa 19 is a recently renovated, beautifully decorated villa, which includes a king size bed, pull-out full size couch, flat screen TV, DVD player, new stainless steel full size refrigerator, microwave, electric glass top range and dishwasher. Updated décor includes butcher block counter, glass tile backsplash, a wide variety of DVD’s, children & adult games and activities to keep everyone entertained.
Also available are (2) backpacks, 2 tennis rackets, hiking supplies, portable folding chairs, and a soft sided cooler with freezer packs. Both children & adult fishing gear is available for guest use. The covered rear deck offers a great spot to relax and enjoy the peaceful mountain environment with both conversation seating and a club height table for 4 to enjoy a meal outside or to play cards or board games. A wooden highchair for younger children is available. This unit is Non-smoking but does allow pets.
This studio is located approximately one mile away from the main amenities. This property does not have a water view. There are no laundry facilities. Rented golf carts cannot be taken to this unit.
CANCELLATIONS/TRANSFERS. Requests must be in writing and received by a Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure rental agent. In the event Tenant must cancel this reservation more than 45 day prior to arrival, Tenant shall receive a refund of all payments made, less a cancellation fee of $50.00. Cancellations that occur within 45 to 15 days prior to arrival will be charged a cancellation fee of 25% of the total reservation charges. Cancellations which occur within 14 days of arrival will be subject to a cancellation charge equal to the amount of the reservation. NO refunds will be given for early departures or unused portions of packages.
HOUSEKEEPING SUPPLIES: There is a one-two day starter supply of items such as coffee packets, toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent (where appropriate), shampoo, and soap that has been supplied for your vacation rental. All towels, bath mats, sheets, and dish clothes are provided for the allowed occupancy number of each unit and there is no housekeeping service provided during your stay. If you run out of any starter supplies, you many purchase these at Apple Valley Market or Ingles Grocery.

Signage could have been clearer and more precise getting to location. Ex. Condo vs Villas?Signs directing Apple Valley from Balding Knob guest services would have been nice. The property itself was fine. Nothing fancy but met our needs perfectly. I would suggest if staying in Summer, to bring a fan. Maintenance should fix a few things- only 1 kitchen outlet worked- one by stove; bathroom door knob on backwards, sliding door not very secure. Loved the layout of CONDO. Kitchen well stocked with necessities. Don't rely on gas station/ grocery store- very low in items. Restaurants in area are pricey. Don't go to this area if you're wanting to do things at Lake Lure currently, we have family that live in the area so we stay in this area to visit.Chimney Rock State Park did re-open. This was a nice excursion. Overall it was a good stay.

The place was extremely charming. Everything you need is within close proximity. Grocery store, restaurants and spectacular views. The staff (Hanna and Maggie) were amazing. The memories made were simply amazing! Don’t hesitate to book your stay here! Well worth it for sure! Hoping to visit again very very soon!

This was our first time in Lake Lure and will definitely not be our last. Great location and easy access to all of the resort amenities. The condo was well equipped with anything you could need from cooking to games/ puzzles, fishing rods, etc. we loved looking at the book with historical pictures and information about lake lure and chimney rock. The patio was so quiet and had a great view of the trees. Being a corner unit is a huge plus and offers great privacy. It was the perfect spot to read a book or enjoy a cup of tea in the am. The bed was amazingly comfortable and we have a Tempurpedic at home so I usually hate the mattresses when we stay anywhere. The only thing that keeps me from leaving 5 stars was that the comforter probably needs to be replaced and we could hear the guests in the unit above walking/ moving around (understanding that’s to be expected with a 2 story condo building). These were so minor in comparison to how fantastic this place is! 10/10 highly recommended and definitely plan to come back!
