The property is perfect for a family. It is close to town and all hiking trails. The rooftop deck provided is a nightly area to relax after a long day of hiking. My boys claimed the extra casita and loved having some privacy from the main house. It is just enough off the beaten path that we felt at home. We would highly recommend this location. Although it isn’t a deal breaker, I would recommend adding a washer and dryer to the property. We are traveling for 12 days and it would have been nice to do some laundry.

Loved this place! The casita made the trip. We were traveling with my parents and the ability to have a separate space for our family of 3 was priceless. The location central for the popular hikes. Our host was very responsive to questions. There were a couple of minor things that needed repair but nothing that was a big deal.

Great cozy little house in quiet neighborhpod next to Thunder Mountain. Great kitchen. Cute casita. Very clean. We really enjoyed our time here. Loved both the inner covered courtyard and the front porch. We walked to the Amitabh Stupa Peace park. A few suggestions The beds all need nightstands and lamps The bed in the main house is up against the wall on one side. Needs to be moved so 2 people can sleep. Could be angled toward the TV with a headboard added. The observation deck is so wonderful. We enjoyed coffee up there. One step is broken, leaving a gap someone could step through and get seriously hurt. Chair cushions need replacing. Lots of burnt out lights in kitchen area. Host was slow to respond. Still a great place to stay!

The only thing negative was the couch is so worn out that it is not comfortable. You can feel the frame of that couch on your back and on your backside so to speak and the pillows smell really bad they should be refreshed each time..

We loved this clean comfortable home with an extra private detached suite! Easy to find. Convenient to west Sedona businesses and walk right out your door to start hiking to Thunder mountain, Chimney rock and the peace park. No complaints at all!!

This was a nice place to get away and close to everything you need if anything was left at home. the family enjoyed the courtyard out back and the elevated deck to check out the night sky. Very Nice.

We loved the property as soon as we entered the home; the open concept pretty much match what we like in properties. The casita was an excellent addition since our oldest daughter joined. There were a few observations that we had that weren't an issue with us, and not 100% sure whether you're aware of, but thought it worth mentioning as perhaps a future project(?) The 1st one that may need more immediate addressing is that the lamp in the casita which was on the left side up near the bed plugs in directly over the Baseboard heater and there is evidence of some charring on the lamp cord, would recommend addressing that. A simple solution that I noticed is there's an available outlet to the right of the baseboard heater to plug it into; just a thought. We couldn't figure out how to turn on the shower in the casita. The most common means is utilized with a lever to pull up on the top of the Bath spigot, but that didn't have one. Another means I've seen is on the Shower head itself, but turning the head only seemed to be utilized to adjust the spray pattern, so if there was another means to turn on the shower, we didn't see it so if there is one, it may be worth mentioning how in the Information book.

We headed down to Sedona for a mountain biking trip. We were 4 guys, so we were looking for 4 separate beds, this place fit the bill nicely. My son and I took the two beds in the Cassida and the other two stayed in the main house. Overall it’s a great place, most important thing for us was the secure back yard for our bikes at night. Overall it’s a great place, could use a little better upkeep, dead lightbulbs and little things like that need attention, but nothing major that affected our overall stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to this property again.

The property was ok however many of the lights did not work - three of six in the kitchen, only the closet light in the main house bedroom and we had to use a Band-Aid as a piece of tape to keep the wall switch "on" to the front room lamp. At least one kitchen drawer did not open/close. The top stair on the second floor observation deck was broken as was one of the chairs on the deck. We came back from a hike and prepared our burgers for the grill. The propane tank on the grill was empty and we couldn't find the spare that was listed in the instruction folder. Contacted the owner and after two texts, he said the cleaning lady must have it and he hoped we could find a propane tank in town so we could eat our lunch. Location was great but that was the only thing going for this property. We would not stay here again and I would not recommend it to my family and friends.

We came to Sedona for a nice long weekend with my Mother who needed a nice get away. I love the two separate living spaces. We really liked the towering porch above the house. We used it in the morning to drink coffee and stretch on the yoga mats and we used it at night and watched the full moon rise. We also got to see a pack of javelina's prowling the neighborhood in the evening. I find wild life fascinating and was really cool to see them just wandering around. (of course we stayed in the car as I know they are wild). Everything was in good working order and the separate living space with the futon bed was very comfy. We enjoyed our stay in Sedona very much.

The property is in a great convenient location for taking in all Sedona has to offer. The property was a nice size for our group of 5 and we felt very safe. The amenities included were a grill and full kitchen to which we planned to use for dinners. The first night we cooked steaks on the grill and ran out of propane before the last steak was fully done, not too big of a deal but I messaged the host to get more for the next night to which he replied there’s nothing he could do about it. The following night after being tired from hiking decided to cook pizzas only to find the oven did not work. When I called he sounded slightly annoyed by me and again said nothing he could do about it. In talking with him he stated the previous renters told him it wasn’t working. It would have saved us a big hassle of having to return our food and order take out. One of the purposes of renting a home is to have these conveniences. Disappointed in the host. Would not recommend this property to others due to his rudeness.

As a small business owner myself, I completely understand thinking from a business mindset, especially in these times. But I also know humility, kindness and compassion even if a small act can go a long way, expand word of mouth referrals, and just add kindness into this world. Unfortunately an emergency with my pet came up 1 week prior to our stay, when we were outside any possible refund. This timing was particularly hard because we had a lot of uncertainty and needing to make hard decisions during this time. I reached out to Daniel to see if we could come to an agreement/or if there was anything we could figure out (i.e. partial refund, discount towards future stay, push it out to an upcoming week where it was not booked, refund at least the cleaning fee since we didnt stay. Honestly anything even small would have helped ease the sting of missing a vacation and totally non refundable while also paying thousands of dollars in unexpected vet bills, and end of life care…. I was met with “Im sorry but there is nothing we can do” each and every time, and am happy to provide this written exchange which I am happy to have now so I can reference back and will never stay at any of his homes or give money to this business again. I understand not being able to give a refund. I even understand not being able to shift to a far in the future stay. I do not and will not ever understand how someone who is running a business based on reviews and word of mouth would have zero compassion TO NOT EVEN REFUND A CLEANING FEE when we never even stepped foot in the place. This place also sat empty the following week and when I asked if it wasnt booked, his answer has been the same each time. Im sure this place is nice But with VRBO policies, if you ever have an emergency, or need someone to problem solve/work together for any type of compromise… THIS ISNT YOUR PLACE. Ive never experienced such coldness in a time when people could really use any small gesture. Im sure he will claim many different things, but this is why I kept it all in writing, and each time was met with a simple “Im sorry but there is NOTHING we can do”.
