Very dirty bedding, mattresses were broken with springs hanging out. Broke. Shower door just left in the bathroom. Dangerous for small children

The whole room was freezing cold we had 3 year old 12 year old and pregnant daughter in room they was all crying with the cold in room the staff was no help ive rang the numbers that are provided no one answers any number the staff at property are np where to be seen ive still had no commuication with anyone wont stay again

From the moment we arrived, there were problems. The key that was in the front door didn't work. I had to wait outside with my children, freezing, waiting for someone to show up. The room was dirty, everything was broken, and many things didn't work. The TV screen was cracked, the remote control didn't work, and there was no internet. They only offer internet in the public area, and after asking how to get there, it was only available on weekends—a joke. My mom had to work remotely, and if we'd known there wasn't internet, we would have brought our own. But when traveling by train with small children, we're careful with our luggage and space, and the property states there's Wi-Fi, which it doesn't, so it couldn't work. There were stains on the towels and sheets, as if they'd been used. The sheets weren't tucked in, everything was pulling and sticking out, and the bedding wasn't even fastened.The blinds, cabinets, and lamps were dirty, rusty, and broken. Above all, it was terribly cold! I wanted to ask for a refund and find another place, but the property wouldn't agree. The person I contacted on Booking.com offered an additional heater. When I informed the young employee, she said there was nothing she could do. She was unpleasant and rude. After we returned from the city, she finally brought a heater; perhaps complaining to customer service on Booking.com would have worked. Overall, I would never go there again, and I regret spending Christmas with my children in such a disgusting place.

You could hear every movement from other guests slamming doors etc running up and down hallways.

The TV was on the floor and wouldn't work. The shower doors were hanging off. Everything felt dirty the bed was so uncomfortable. The toilet wouldn't flush properly.

Not one thing I can say good. disgusted by it all not clean, asked staff to clean and change dirty bedding when first arrived at 5pm..and still wasn’t done after me and my 4 children had been out for 4 hours. Even left dirty cloth he used on the floor after cleaning an inch on the bed rail after told of every thing wrong. Tv broke …damp on walls ceiling. Hairs on bed. Shower broke. Stains on bedding. Brown splatters on walls and ceilings. Ignorant to asking for help at only 9pm even though heard tv at other side of reception door. Disgusting service.. disgusting cleanliness… disgusting communication.. do not stay here at all costs

No door on shower, Bedroom door was not very secure literally falling apart around handle / lock. All mattresses need changed, No guardrails on top bunk. Damp throughout property. Pillows need replaces thin and stained. Carpets were sticky. Taps on bathroom sink were loose. Room was cold Asked staff for assistance and was ignored

The room I got was horrific. Holes in the wall, stains on the bed and units, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Immediately left and booked somewhere else.

Friendly staff but now I know they don’t listen

The hallways smelt of urine windows left open in empty rooms during storm Claudia so doors slamming all night heating didn’t work so was freezing all night and mould on walls I’m asthmatic explained some of this on last stay obviously they just ignored guest next room from me were having same problems but there room had also had leaks

So they advertise check in until 11pm, my daughter is currently very vulnerable and I checked her in here for that reason. She arrived just after 10pm and Although I advised them of her arrival they said check in was closed and no one was available to check her in. So my money was taken and my daughter had nowhere to stay

The room hadn’t been cleaned the sheets were dirty full of make up and hairs! The shower was dirty and full of hair! The pillow and mattress protectors were full of stains including blood!! The bed was so uncomfortable when you sat on it you could feel the bed base!!

my room had no toilet paper, and the family room had crisp wrapper, and open melted chocolate bar under the bed, stains on the toilet wall, looked like poo... stains on the wall and bed was broken, mattress was too big for it, you pay for what you get, shower was so high i couldn't reach the switch

Everything, there was poop stain In toilet, there was poop stain on the window shelf, theirs stains on sheet, there plaster and everything hanging off the walls.. it’s not fit to stay in, I have around 20 pictures! Do not stay here

Where do I start. The price was awful especially for what it was. The staff was non existent. Needed help with the room and couldn’t find a single staff member. The reception and bar were locked. The room falling apart. Extractor fan was falling off the ceiling, hair everywhere, paint off the walls, holes in the walls, bed was uncomfortable to the point I couldn’t sleep, shower physically burnt me, it was either scoulding hot or freezing cold so it was unusable, radiator was broken and the pipe was bent, mould in the shower, holes in the walls, bed was falling apart, overall it was unbareable. The pictures don’t even sum it up. There is more

Nothing like pics, old mattresses and flat hard pillows, mould everywhere in shower, had to ask for more loo roll, no one on site most of time, 1 chap barely spoke English. Blocked toilets not working on 1st night, owners lied saying they didn't know despite numerous reviews reporting it and horrendous sewer smells so was given air freshener! Chap tried to unblock loo with his hands then left water all over place and said it was done, until we flushed again so owners apparently tried and failed to get emergency plumber and told us to use loo anyway but not flush and they would clean any mess next day as all 4 connected rooms were blocked and they gave up trying to sort it at 11pm. Noisy plumbing in toilet and shower kept us awake all night and shower water didn't drain either! Stained bedding and towels, dare not look at flat mattress and pillows. Filthy walls, floorboards rotten and dangerous, and a footprint on ceiling!? Drug addicts sat on doorstep, flimsy locks didn't work properly. Couldn't find anywhere else to move to because of fireworks and was told their 2nd hotel the Onyx was worse! Staff at night barely spoke English and had all mates round eating curry and when asked for items we were told they don't have spare blankets or duvets, let alone matresses so we had to go buy blankets to keep warm! Made complaint to owners and Booking.com and heard nothing, owners just said "well it's cheap!" Room was never serviced nor new towels or loo roll in 4 days we had to keep asking for items when bar man there after 3pm or call owners. All guests staying sat outside smoking and discussing all their issues and complaints about the place as pics are obviously years old when it was renovated after fire gutted it 4 years ago!

Rough area, witness dealing at front of hotel, no members of staff in building, the room was dated, holes in the wall, mattress were ripped and the top was off showing all the insides and springs of the mattress, none of the bedding matched, wasn't greeted by member of staff, had to ring to then declining the call and messaged me a key safe number and had to find the key safe to even get into the hotel, no disable access, no lift, and putting family rooms 3rd floor and furtherst away, really steep stairs, signs saying no smoking and the first floor stunk of cigarette smoke, and the room didn't feel secure enough to leave any thing valuable in ur room when out.

This was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and I will never stay here again. At first, the downstairs area of the property looked nice and well looked after, so we thought we’d be okay. We were told our room was on the 2nd floor — not a problem — but then discovered it was actually on the 3rd floor. That meant carrying all of our belongings, plus a 1-year-old and a 2-month-old baby, up four flights of stairs. When we finally got to the room, it was shocking. There was mould all over the walls, the paint was bubbling because of damp, and the window frame had blown out. In the corner of the room, there was a yellow stain from a leak, and the radiator was so loose it felt unsafe. The bathroom was just as bad. The door had clearly been damaged before, patched up with putty as if someone had punched a hole through it. The shower head was literally taped on, and there was a screw sticking up from the bathroom floor, which was extremely dangerous. The beds and bedding were palling. There was mould on the pillowcase, the mattress was so uncomfortable and noisy, and there was even a burn mark on the bed frame, despite the hotel being advertised as non-smoking. The overall environment was horrible. The noise from other guests fighting in and around the hotel was constant, the smell throughout was horrendous, and the room itself was unbearably hot, with no way to make it comfortable. On top of all this, the TV didn’t even work — and yet this place is advertised as a 5-star hotel, which is completely laughable. For a hotel that looks decent on the surface, the reality is disgusting. The rooms were filthy, unsafe, noisy, and totally unacceptable — especially for families with young children.

Close to the pier great location, you get what you pay for smelt nice too

All the stairs I have a disabled son and it was hard with his wheelchair pram
