The pool area.

It was directly below the flight path. EVERY 15 minutes there was a plane taking off from the airport directly overhead. I’m not sure if I was staying at the same property as my fellow reviewers. It is a semi detached house with dark wooden sloping ceilings with one window on the living room side and one window off the front bedroom facing the pool. No windows in the 2nd bedroom. Another reviewer said the decor was quirkey… that means there’s a lot of useless ‘stuff’ that was dusty including the heavy curtains. I admit I am a minimalist especially in short term rentals. I have 2 of my own. I have been traveling in the Greek Islands for 5 months, where I have found people not being particularly honest with their reviews. Reviews are only for the rest of us looking for properties that would suit us. Not against the owners …. Not that I found these owners terribly generous or friendly as others have said. What greeted me was a small bottle of water and a bowl of old grapes. I was told it was a 10 minute walk from the port … more like a 20 minutes walk with luggage uphill. I eventually caught a taxi and informed the driver of the name of the property being Summer House. He went to the wrong address. When I finally arrived at the correct ‘Summer House’ I was told that had never happened before. 2 days later when other guests arrived I heard them say they were sorry for being late but they went to the wrong address. The owner knew I heard that and quickly changed the subject. To me it’s the middle of nowhere. Believe what you want to believe!

To be honest, there really aren’t any or enough words to describe how much my family and I enjoyed Summer House and the wonderful owners, Spiros and Vassos. The house is simply gorgeous. It’s beautifully appointed with a pool that looks out over the Ionian and is situated in very convenient yet peaceful part of Corfu Port. The owners are warm, friendly and give unbeatable recommendations for experiences around the island. A huge thank you from Nick, Anna, Lillo and Goldie. We miss you already!

Brilliant stay at Summer House Corfu - amazing hosts who went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and looked af

We had such a fantastic time at Summer House! Spiros and Vasiliki were brilliant hosts, they went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable and had everything that we needed and were very responsive throughout our stay. The property itself is in a great location - a short drive from the airport and there’s a big supermarket with everything that you need just a 5min walk away. However, it’s far enough away from any main roads or businesses that it remains a peaceful and relaxing space. Inside, the property was very clean and includes everything that you need to cook meals if you want to and there’s a cosy living/dining area. The outside has a stunning view of the sea and your own private infinity pool as well as a very comfortable sunbed to lay on if you prefer the shade. We were sad to leave as we enjoyed our stay so much, but hope to be able to come back some time in the near future!

I can’t think of anything that we didn’t like about our stay or the property!

Perfect, Relaxing Villa on the outskirts of Old Town.

We had a warm welcome by the owners when we turned up and were showed round by Vaso. Vaso provided water and a treat from the Bakery which was lovely. The villa was brilliant and even though we had looked at the photos before, it looked so much better in person. All windows and the front door have mosquito nets, all rooms have Aircon, table and chairs outside on the balcony with a lovely poor view of Mainland Greece and the cruise port. There's a very comfortable 4 post double bed sun lounger as well. Plenty of space with wardrobes & draws. We self catered lunch and dinner, all equipment is there. We were shown the recently born kittens near the other annex, which were so sweet. Bakery's, mini markets and places to eat and drink (especially the pizza place) are a 5 minute walk down the road - as well as bus routes into Old Town Corfu. Vaso & Spiros were happy to answer any questions and gave us a lift to the market when we turned up to grab some essentials. There are quiet hours which are lovely and relaxing. We would definitely recommend this for a family or a group of friends - who would love to be near Old Town, but away from the hustle and bustle. We cannot thank Vaso & Spiros enough, it was a brilliant time.

The only negative was that we had only booked 6 nights, we wish we could have stayed longer.
