Downrow Barn

The cosy open plan living room and kitchen, which are separated by a lovely breakfast bar and an additional wooden table, was such a lovely set up and gave a warm welcome. The bathroom has a large claw bath tub l, which was a divine soak, but there is also an option for a waterfall-esque shower; both felt luxurious and generous. Finally, the king sized bed was big enough for the both of us without worrying who would steal the covers. There was also plenty of room for our two cheeky puppies to sneak in without us noticing! All in all, Downrow Cottage is a beautiful barn conversion that is extremely modern and comfortable with hints and clues to it's history and familial legacy.

Being a barn conversion in a huge space of nature, it does occasionally play host to spiders. We only saw 1 big one, but the rest stayed more or less hidden or in inconspicuous corners that we don't look at or need to go near (think in a nook behind the TV or in the far left corner of the very high ceiling). Otherwise, there was absolutely no problem!

Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich und komfortabel. Es hat einen schönen und gut eingezäunten Garten mit Tisch und Meerblick Der Parkplatz befindet sich direkt vor der Haustür. Das große Doppelbett war sehr bequem. Der Besitzer war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Als unser Auto am Abreisetag nicht ansprang, hat er uns sofort helfen können. Vielen Dank dafür:)

Mir fällt gerade nichts ein…. doch die Kaffeepresse war defekt.

We both loved every bit of this gem of a property from the moment we walked in to the day we left greeted on the first day by the owner Trevor who gaves us the history of the barn and its location we will be back for another stay in the future.
