About this cottage rental
Zeus (king of the Greek gods) is perhaps the most "VIP" accommodation, sitting higher up the canyon floor. It has expansive views overlooking the pool and out through the massive mountain walls of the name sake, Hidden Passage. A larger home with a private patio and expanse of windows to capture the views. Outdoor entertainment is greatly facilitated by the floor plan; may want to eat out everyday weather permitting. BBQ, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower and tub combo, each bedroom has a queen bed with memory foam mattress, closet, desk. Zeus has a smart TV, WiFi, air conditioning and heating. (There is also evaporative cooler as an option which is wonderful for health.)

The mountain-water feed infinity pool for Panorama Pass Guests. The pool with 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains is open year-round for poolside lounging in the sun, even if the water is too cold for swimming. The solar heated swimming season starts when nights warm in Spring and usually goes through late Fall. Note: Due to weather conditions, in winter months the pool shade sails may be taken down.
Hike. Hidden Passage Guest Ranch is in a secluded 130-acre canyon – an island within the Sand to Snow National Monument - with miles of unforgettable hiking trails right outside your door. Both leisurely walks around the village property to advanced serious all-day hikes. Will rarely see a soul . . . unless our own guests. (Trail map in Apollo Community Center.)
High degree of privacy, the cottages spread across 25 acres so no worry about “too close” quarters. At the same time there is a community center, coffee café to hang out, meet others, get information about the area.
Quiet, serenity, spectacular star gazing, desert air relaxation, meditative even if not your practice!

Hidden Passage of Panorama Pass is in the center of everything, 20 minutes to Joshua Tree, 20 minutes to Palm Springs, 20 minutes to Pioneer Town, 90 minutes to LA. Consider a location that is more central so as to have access to more of the plethora of desert offerings.)

Zeus was exactly as described. We were able to enjoy the pool each day and cooked dinner both nights. Cooking utensils, dishes, coffee maker, grill were all available/worked well. There was a semi-noisy condenser(?) outside near the grill/table area, but not really audible from inside.

I was not sent check in procedures and had to contact VRBO but after that it went smoothly. Pros:-Property was private, remote quiet and nice mountain views.-Zeus was the best location on the property and spacious-Pool location was great and clean. Very cold in March.-Staff was helpful and friendlyCons:-No shade on patio, even though I requested the shade sail be put up. They responded okay.-Trails were not well marked or maintained as advertised. That was one of my selling points for choosing this property since we had our dog with us.-We did find mouse droppings in one of the cabinets and on the dishes.Overall this property has so much potential and we would return but not at this price point for the Zeus. I believe it is a work in progress.

This was the perfect setting for a girls getaway with my bff. Zeus was a lovely 2 bedroom cabin with all the amenities we
needed. We spent 4 nights here. The pool was gorgeous, we had it all to ourselves for 2 days and then met some really nice folks on our last 2 days. If you're looking for a secluded escape to the desert, this is it!

My sis and I had an amazing long weekend in the Zeus house. I was really sad to leave and am looking forward to going back and spending longer than 3 nights in the region. Highly, highly recommend this trek into the desert for anyone wanting to get away.
