RANCHO PIONERA: 5 min stroll to Pappy’s + Pool + HotTub + Views

This house is exactly as described in the listing, and the proximity to great hiking and Pioneertown was perfect for our weekend away with friends! Being able to walk to/from P&H’s and Red Dog is a rarity unless you’re at the motel, and not having to use our cars much was so nice. The house was cute and well decorated, and had everything we needed for our home cooked meals and snacks, and we loved stargazing in the backyard. Our only critique was that the hot tub jets weren’t working, and then the second night the hot tub heater seemed to be off. It was still warm from the previous night, but the temp was in decline and was not 103 as set and listed on the panel. This could have been due to a flipped breaker or blown fuse perhaps, but it had power so we weren’t really sure and didn’t feel like trouble shooting that late at night. Overall this didn’t dampen our spirits too much. A great stay overall, great bang for your buck, and we’d definitely come back!!

Great desert retreat with an excellent location for Pappy & Harriet's. The host was responsive and helpful throughout the stay. Would happily stay here again!

The Hacienda was lovely.The tree at the front of the property is awesome. The place was clean. The owners, friendly and super easy to deal with. Communication was good. The location is quiet yet very close to town.The water was a big attraction for us. The Cowboy pool was super fun with kids. The Jacuzzi wasn't as hot as we wanted but it was still very nice. The 3 bedrooms and 2 baths were all spacious and clean. We came from 3 days camping in Joshua Tree National Park and the house was a cool comfortable refuge. The owners clearly care about their clients experience and I'd really like to give the place a 4.5.

We had a wonderful couple of days staying at Rancho Pionera. The property perfectly captures the essence of Pioneertown. Its location offers the ideal balance of privacy and accessibility, situated just minutes from the iconic Mane Street and Pappy & Harriet’s while remaining tucked away in its own grounds with hot tub and outdoor dining area.The experience of staying here is defined by a profound sense of stillness and connection to nature. Whether you are enjoying the golden hour glow from the porch or stargazing in the jacuzzi, the property provides a serene sanctuary to recharge. With its spotless amenities, thoughtful hospitality and excellent communication from the hosts, we would highly recommend a stay at Rancho Pionera and hope to return one day!
