Espanhouse Playa Townhouse in La Zenia close to the beach

The terrace was absolutely superb. A great little sun trap, sheltered from any wind that was blowing. An outside cooking hob, sink and a gas BBQ. Good seating too. We used this area every day whilst here (Easter 2026). The house itself is spacious and has everything you could ask for. There is a dishwasher (not mentioned when we booked to stay so that was a nice surprise). The washing machine is now outside. The beds were comfortable and the whole place was very clean (French properties could learn a thing or two from that!). A kettle, toaster and coffee machine provided, all in great working order. Halogen hob and oven, again in good working order. Great fridge freezer with plenty of space. Shower is very good - plenty of hot water from the extensive solar panels. The house is 3 levels, with a sofa bed on the third level with a great balcony off it. The terrace and balcony both face South West so you get sun on both for the majority of the day. Lastly, Sergey (the host) was brilliant. Good communication and very friendly and helpful. There was an issue with the WiFi when we arrived but he sorted it on the first day. Highly recommended.

That statue on the bar/table separating the kitchen from the living room. It could not be positioned in a more awkward place. It appears to have been knocked off its pedestal at some point and has been glued back on. I'm not surprised as it really is in the way and asking to be knocked over. There are also a lot of keys to the property (too many) all unlocking separate doors. You are only given one set so this is a little awkward at times especially as the gated entrance to the complex requires one of the keys just to get out. Finally, and this is not the fault of the house or host but the road system surrounding the property has a lot of one way systems and quite frustrating walking routes - you find yourself walking out of your way to get to destinations that seem close by (the same when driving). This was not really a problem for us but may well be for others. Just something to bear in mind as its not as close, in real terms, to beaches and shops as the maps suggests.

The house was very comfortable, & clean.Had everything in it & more . The outside spaces were excellent. The pool was great we all loved it.

Location was great, lovely clean apartment.

We got a WiFi connection when we used the password but no Internet connection, consequently the television didn't work and we were using our own data when using the phones. We WhatsApped the host to inform him of our problem, his response (which came 16 hours later) was "I am abroad" we received no further contact from him until the day of our departure, when I WhatsApped him to find out what we should do with the keys and then got an immediate response. We have had further chats through WhatsApp since we got home and his attitude was very dismissive and unsympathetic.
