The room was spacious enough for our family of four (a couple and two children), well-equipped, and beautifully maintained. It was also conveniently located near the city center, so we were very satisfied.
They also promptly arranged a taxi to the airport, so we can truly recommend this place to families traveling together.
The shower did not have hot water at first, but the land owner fixed it promptly by himself. So it was not really a problem.

Great location!
Don't let them outside fool you- the property was very modern on the inside. It had one shower and two toilets. Our hosts communicated via WhatsApp and asked to be paid in cash.

Light bright fully renovated apartment in central UB, all amenities worked easily. Kitchen and two separate bathrooms were well kitted out. We stayed on two separate occasions on the way to and from trips in West Mongolia - we can only remark on what an excellent location, high value for money and perfectly warm cosy comfortable base in UB this was. We also appreciated being able to run the washing machine one time, when we came back from the west. Would definitely choose to stay with Tanan again.
The location can be tricky to find for first time, and likely the Mongolian-speaking driver will need to call Tanan to ask for more specific directions to the apartment. Once you know it, you won't lose it anymore. Hot water flow inside the shower is a little low sometimes, and the plastic shower screen gets in the way every time.

The property was clean and big enough for my group of 5 travellers
The road leading to the apartment is a narrow one lane street so it was not easy for the taxi to get in. They have to reversed to go out after dropping us and the apartment is on the second floor with no lift so if you have lots of luggages, abit of work there
