The unit had lots of charm and amenities which resulted in a wonderful stay. We would visit again.

The location was excellent. Our host was very helpful suggesting other places in the area that are interesting to visit. The rental property was very roomy and had lots of artistic flare. There were plenty of kitchen implements to prepare a dinner.

The ceilings were a bit low for me and I am 5 ft 11 inches. The power went out and all was quickly restored except the kitchen breaker by the stove. A minor thing that was worked around. We were unable to contact the owner Valerie to let her know.

Beautifully decorated and had everything one possibly could need - Valerie was extremely helpful and kind even offered to make eggs for us in her kitchen which we enjoyed. Close to centre of town with a wonderful ambience - def recommend to all !

Eclectic apartment in the heart of Lourmarin

Fantastic location, top quality fittings in bathroom and kitchen, plus lovely art by owner, Valérie. Inside remained quite pleasant despite 36degC outside.

Some simple additions, like a toaster, a hook to hang the shower head, a blind for for the skylight and supply of shower gel , would raise Barbella to a 10/10

Artistic and delightful accommodation in Lourmarin

Central in Lourmarin. Owned by a lovely artist who is very welcoming. The studio is beautiful and full of her art works. We stayed in the larger for 2 nights. It had all the amenities one could want. The smaller for one night was also great. Bathroom directly behind the bed head might challenge some people Definitely different from most apartments we have stayed in and highly recommended

Extremely unique property

Fantastic location within the town. Really quirky and unique decoration - extremely spacious and well appointed.

The garden room is essentially dug into the rock which is part of its charm! It is, however, rather damp (we noticed bed linens and clothes were damp during our stay). A dehumidifier should ideally be on 24/7.

A spacious, character filled stay

This property was in a lovely town and the apartment was easy to access. The apartment itself is full of character, spacious and very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. We did take the opportunity to cook a meal. We didn’t spend as much time as we’d hoped using the courtyard as the weather wasn’t fine for our few days and we were out and about during the day. It was easy to park nearby (no cost) and walk luggage in. Loved hearing the bells ring overhead.

The apartment is rather unique since it's partially underground and has everything you could ask for from a comfortable bed to a well stocked kitchen across three interconnected rooms. The host was amazing and made me feel very welcome. If you're looking for something that's a bit different, this is it!

Gorgeous place. Wonderful hospitality. Quirky so don’t go if you want standardised accommodation - could be anywhere. Perfectly located for village dining and shopping. Lovely garden courtyard to chill in and the host Valerie is lovely.

Le louerais-je à nouveau ? Malheureusement, non.

Nous avons réservé deux nuits dans le plus petit des deux appartements. Points positifs : l’appartement est idéalement situé au centre de Lourmarin, avec tout à quelques minutes à pied. Le logement est propre, bien équipé, et la propriétaire est sympathique et de bon conseil.

Cependant, le louerais-je à nouveau ? Malheureusement, non. Bien que j’apprécie le charme d’un logement ancien au cœur du village, je l’ai trouvé extrêmement sombre, principalement parce que presque tout est peint en jaune moutarde foncé ou en noir. Le lit double sur la mezzanine est petit et de qualité moyenne, et la minuscule toilette ouverte à moins d’un mètre du lit n’est pas idéale. Le point le plus décevant pour moi a été la douche : peinte dans le même jaune moutarde avec un rideau noir, elle était pratiquement plongée dans le noir, même avec le seul spot faiblement éclairé. Voici donc mon retour honnête pour les futurs voyageurs et pour la propriétaire.

Nous avons adoré l'emplacement en plein centre de Lourmarin, la gentillesse, les conseils de balade, de bonnes adresses et le sourire de notre hôte Valérie. Le logement est sûrement le plus original qu'on ait loué, tout en étant très confortable.
