There is nothing that was not amazing.
1. The house itself is of historic interest and has been renovated and modernised with consdiration and care; providing the feel of being taken back in time, while still having modern conveniences available to you.
2. The villas (where I stayed, after an upgrade) are idyllic; each is privately positioned, with beautiful decoration, spacious room, log fire, beautiful bathtubs, showers, hot tub outside along with a sauna.
3. The restaurant in the hotel was fantastic; we dined for the NYE celebration and the food was exceptional.
4. The grounds are exceptionally well kept, and while there is expansion work ongoing (new villas) - everything is very tidy.
5. THE STAFF. Sayward runs the show, and she is absolutely fantastic - she went above and beyond in making our stay fantastic. The rest of the team were brilliant; courteous, responsive and fun to talk with. The team made the the stay feel so much more intimate because of their attention and attitude.

Comfortable room and bed.
Entrance unkempt. Weeds growing up side of property and not welcoming. Poor first impression. The outdoor area beside the room wasn’t clean and didn’t have any cushions on the seats. Also more weeds. Certainly not a nice area you would even consider sitting and relaxing.
