Local Art Deco/House Near to Everything + Beach

We had a wonderful stay at Blanca's beautiful house in San Juan. It was very clean and comfortable. I love a place with outdoor space and the patio and front porch were lovely. The location is fantastic, walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, bars, the beach. You really get the flavor of being in a local neighborhood. It is not as close to the beach as the pin shows, you are much closer to highway 25, but it is a very quiet area, no traffic noise at all. We were about 15 minutes to Old San Juan and 50 minutes to El Yunque National Forest and the Luquillo beaches and kiosks. Playa Ocean Park which is about a 10 minute walk at most, is a gorgeous beach but had rip tide warnings while we were there. Driving to the East side gave us calmer swimming waters. Heed the red flags!

We found this house to be just as advertised. It was clean and comfortable. Easy walk to grocery, restaurants, and beach.

Family of four adults, stayed here six nights and used all the bedrooms and the beds were great for us. [It would be nice to have more hooks & racks to hang towels and clothes throughout though.] We were able to find street parking each time we came home from our daily adventures. The “welcome basket” of local treats from our host was a nice surprise when we arrived! We walked to the beach with all our gear on multiple days, including chairs from the laundry room, and that beach was our favorite for swimming in all of PR that we visited over 10 days. Communication with host was great and she was responsive to our questions. Would stay again!

I have had only great experiences with VRBO where owners try to make sure everything works and people are happy so I was disappointed by this owner. I asked about the broken coffee maker and the response was "I don't know." Then she suggested I use the small french press instead or "you can walk to buy coffee nearby." While I'm sharing feedback, the location on map is incorrect and the wifi didn't work. I was offered three different wifi's over two days but none worked. The space is nice and clean and we had some great products like coffee and bread when we arrived. The owner could have made this a much more positive experience.
