Casa do Vagar

We stayed here in July 2023. We have rented quite a few holiday homes all over Europe, but this home exceeded our expectations by far compared to others. The home was beautifully decorated inside and outside foreseen with secluded and open entertainment areas. The home had everything we desired including pans to make pancakes, olive oil, shower products, iron, washing machine, products for the washing machine, products for the dishwasher, dishwashing liquid, etc. The host, Marta was also extremely communicative and was available for any questions we had. She had also prepared a list of places to visit, restaurants, etc. which was very helpful. She also speaks excellent English Location wise it is easy to travel from here to Evora as well as the nearby town Vimieiro where they had some great local restaurants. We also visited a beautiful winery 5 minutes from the home (Herdade das Servas). We even visited Lisbon for a day trip from the house. The house is located close to a busy road, but it really did not bother us at all. Quite the opposite, this meant that we could get easily from the home anywhere we wanted by car. We would highly recommend this place to anyone interested in visiting this area.

We have given this a lot of thought and came up with nothing that we could report that was negative about the home or the host.

I recently had the pleasure of staying in a lovely accommodation in Alentejo, Portugal for a week-end. The decor was absolutely stunning with a rustic charm that made me feel right at home. The pool was situated in a beautiful setting with lounging areas to relax and take in the amazing views. The host, Marta was top-notch always willing to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking to experience the beauty of Alentejo, Portugal.
