    This was lovely. I felt so comfortable and welcomed at this hostel. The community is active and sweet. The kitchen easy to navigate. The Girl’s door smelled good. Anyone who stays at hostels knows the smell in the living space is usual gross, at was not the case with Desert Heart, it made a big difference for me. The location was convenient and easy to walk to the main point in San Jose. The bells from the Cathedral was an unexpected delight each day. Make sure to bring your own towel.

    Loved this little gem, centrally located in the middle of the downtown core! Friendly staff, clean facilities and huge kitchen and shared spaces. Highly recommend.
