Liked the location. Not far from Vatican city. Not far from the Hop on hop off stop. They were very nice helping us when we had issues with online payment. Easy check in and check out procedure. Appartment is cozy for short 3 days stay.

All was good.

The location is fantastic, less than 5 minutes from the metro station. We arrived after 9pm and could commute from Ciampino airport to get there. It is a in a prominent central location and has shops and other facilities in close proximity. The property itself is on the lowest floor - on a landing 6 steps up, but we had no checked baggage so that wasn't a problem. the apartment is large and airy with high ceilings. The kitchen had everything we needed including cleaning materials (a rarity IMHO). It's an apartment in a building (flats) and there are no staff onsite, but they responded promptly via the Booking.com app & phone and were pleasantly helpful. The quaint rolling shutters in the in the kitchen & bedroom windows allow for privacy and security as did the fold-out shutters in the living room.

The property included air-conditioning. While air-conditioning in Rome isn't what one finds elsewhere in the world, there was an AC unit in the living room alone. The bedroom had a portable AC unit (the kind that has a hose that needs to blow out the window) but it did not work. We arrived late on a Saturday night and it was too late for anyone to come look at it. I didn't expect anyone to show up on Sunday but Zou called ahead and showed up promptly on Sunday afternoon to take a look. Turned out it needed to be replaced and that happened on Monday morning. So we spent two nights without air-conditioning on very hot August nights and did not receive any compensation for it. Secondly, considering the doors can be opened remotely via an online link, we could have checked in ourselves. We were asked to pay extra for a late check-in; for a staff member to explain in-person what was already emailed across.
