The location was amazing just minutes from the market and there were so many restaurants and places to eat was steps away. They were always providing us with bottled water.
We called the hotel 3 times before arriving, making sure we are going to pay with card and that is okay. They did not mentioned even once that they do not accept international cards. So when we were there exhausted with no other options, he told us this isn't possible we need to pay with cash. We didn't have any cash on us...that is why we wanted to pay with card. So then he brought another terminal, which was borrowed from another hotel nearby, but of course then we have to pay extra fee 3.5% of the price!!!! That terminal didn't work either so he told us that we need to sort this out somehow. No sir you need to sort this out, it is not my problem and why on earth would you think I have a domestic card on me when I came to travel in India for a few days?!
It was not appreciated, wasn't even mentioned on the phone, and I do not think we are the first customers who had this problem, they should be aware of it by now.
