Koni's House

Koni's House was perfect: a beautiful traditional solid house with high ceilings and airy rooms but also modern (possibly brand new ?) integrated mosquito nets and external shutters on the large windows and AC in every room ensuring a really comfortable, cool stay with no insects. Almost every room has its own balcony with chairs and tables plus lovely choice of patio areas in sun or shade, surrounded by beautiful scented plants. The house's position approx 50m from the main shoreline road, with open areas around (and easy parking) ensures complete quiet yet easy access to the many cafes, restaurants and supermarkets of charming Vathy. The owner's mother met us on arrival and supplied the most delicious piping hot homemade cheese buns for breakfast one morning which was lovely. A car is useful to arrive from the mainland via Lefkada and to visit other areas of the island eg Spartachori but by no means essential. Taxis, water taxis and tour boats are available from Vathy.

The location - a quiet street just back from the harbour - was perfect. Effy looked after us with such kindness, and even made us dinner one night. The house is beautiful, spacious and so peaceful. We had no need for a car, beaches, bars and tavernas all within easy walking distance. Absolute loved our stay here.

Location 2 minutes walk from harbour and all restaurants -, bars and supermarkets - perfect for us and also free parking next door. Effy showered us with delightful homemade treats and lit the candles in the courtyard every night - amazing extra service

Koni’s House is beautiful. It’s in the perfect location, spotlessly clean and extremely spacious and comfortable with all the mod cons you can think of including a coffee machine.
