The very clean spacious & well appointed apartment, reasonable location, good internal security, quiet area, reasonable proximity to cafes & restaurants and good value for money.

Nothing actually. Check in was self regulated with PIN number to access front door key but this presented no problem whatever.

The location was perfect. So walkable to any part of town and such a beautiful route along the river with a sweet pedestrian bridge. I loved the spaciousness of the place. It was so comfortable and clean. Was such a nice change after small Japan hotel rooms. The hosts were so responsive and communicative. It was an outstanding stay.

The location is great. So close to everything

Toilet was too far from the bedroom. Lol.

The house is well-equipped, very clean, and smells good. It’s quite spacious for Japan, and the photos accurately show what you get. The location is great in the old town - you can walk to the city center, and the neighborhood felt safe. It could easily get a score of 10, but it’s only a 5 because of the 4 reasons below.

1. The owner was never available: not by phone, WhatsApp, email, or even through Booking. We couldn’t find the entrance, and no one answered. We didn’t feel safe because the door locks without a key, and there was no one to contact. We needed medical help and guidance, and there was simply no one to talk to. When visiting a foreign country, this is extremely important, and we felt helpless. Luckily, we booked it for only one night. The place itself is very nice, but without proper management, it’s worthless. 2. There are no closets or storage spaces for your belongings: be prepared to keep your suitcases all over the floor. 3. One room in the house is locked, and we heard footsteps from inside - It’s unclear whether someone else shares the apartment, which made us feel unsafe. 4. Most importantly: the house cannot be locked properly. There’s only a simple bathroom-style lock, and it would be easy to break in since the door is traditional and very old. Japan may be a safe country, but spending the night in a house that doesn’t feel secure, especially with children, really took away from the experience.
