Okay Apartment In A Central Location

The apartment is in a good central location which is ideal for the beach, city centre & the port

The apartment smelt of stale smoke which wasn't very pleasant. I'm guessing previous guests have been smoking inside the apartment. I also found a long hair in the fridge which wasn't very hygienic. The bedroom / sitting room doesn't have any blinds, instead the windows are covered up with frosted plastic film. There are external shutters for the windows but these don't let in any day light. The windows and walls are also very thin so you can hear lots of noise from outside and the neighbours above. There is a coffee machine in the kitchen but no instructions on how to use it which is a shame. The coffee is in bags like tea so it took me a while to work out that out as it wasn't labelled or in any kind of packaging or jar like the tea bags are.

Lovely studio - would stay here again on another pitstop at Calais :)

The studio looks lovely and was very clean with welcome snacks and a tea/coffee tray ready upon arrival. Nicely decorated in a beach theme. I didn't use the kitchen for cooking, but it had everything you'd need in terms of oven, microwave, crockery, cutlery. A few useful food items left by previous guests, like cooking oil (but not out of date). Bath with a shower overhead was nice. Fab location for restaurants, bars etc near the square round the corner. About 1 minute's walk there is a restaurant serving moules et frites! Also close to the ferries, and an open-air music venue on the other side of the water.

At first the toilet didn't flush without pulling a thin white rod through a hole in the ceramic lid to the cistern. Then the rod disappeared further down and you had to pull up a square attachment to the red ballcock to flush the loo. Basically you couldn't flush it without keeping the ceramic lid off. However, this wasn't a major problem as the toilet did flush! And when I reported it to the hosts after I checked out (I was only there 1 night), they said they would look into it.

Because the apartment is on the ground floor and the widows are facing the road, so during the night there can be some noise if some crazy motorbikes or cars passing by which, however, is not the fault of the apartment. Just to remind those light sleepers, ear plugs can be really useful

The suite was close to shops. The beach was a few blocks across the bridge. The suite was decorated nicely and was bright and spacious. The kitchen was nice. The amenities in the suite were good. We enjoyed staying in Calais. The grocery store in the square was very reasonably priced and people were kind.

There was a sewer smell in the bathroom that was overwhelming. The street was very noisy until 3am each night. We didn't sleep well.

very modern, clean, and comfortable! it had everything you could possibly need for cooking too (pots and pans, baking dish, whisk, knives, spatula, tongs, etc). a lot of natural light came in from the windows which was really nice. the daybed and pillows were very comfortable. overall wonderful place to stay!!

Super! On reviens vite!

Logement fonctionnel et cosy, petit jardin très appréciable (manque juste un parasol et un étendoir pour le linge et c'est la perfection 😃), petit problème de piles pour la télécommande du câble, du coup pas de télé mais franchement vu la météo etc c'était pas nécessaire, entre la mer et la ville, tout est faisable à pieds 😃 Allez y !
