This newly referenced apartment (100 m²) combines charm and modernity and is located 150m from Place aux Herbes.
This 100 m² apartment with veranda and 2 bedrooms combines charm and modernity 150m from the famous Place aux Herbes. Located on the 1st floor (no lift) of a very quiet old building from the 17th century with access by stone staircase, it is distributed on ONE SINGLE LEVEL which is VERY RARE in Uzès for a historic building.
It was completely renovated in 2021 and benefits from excellent comfort and a veranda with a view of the greenery of the trees.
Very well equipped and nicely fitted out in harmony with the surroundings (wall in Gard stone, parquet floor...), the fitted kitchen combines remarkable functionality with an attractive design open to the living room with 2 windows-door opening onto a balcony. In very good taste with its refined and high-end interior design and decoration, this 40m² living room is air-conditioned. In winter, the apartment benefits from very good heating in all rooms.
The 1st air-conditioned master bedroom of 13m² (160 bed) comes with a large dressing room (4m²) and a 10m² veranda with country decor where you can have your breakfast in the summer and relax in front of nature. Large sliding bay windows and electric sun blinds complete this bucolic veranda.
The 2nd bedroom or work office (16m²) has a 140 Premium comfort sofa bed and an office area, all opening onto a balcony.
The bathroom is composed of an Italian shower, storage unit under the sink, and large bathroom cabinet.
All windows are double glazed.
The apartment is highly appreciated for its extremely refined decoration. It is ideally located at the foot of the shops, 50m from the pedestrian streets and the magnificent Place aux Herbes, famous for its fountain, its arcades, its many bars and restaurants where you can relax on their many terraces in the shade of the plane trees. . A local producers' market on Wednesday morning and the big market on Saturday morning, both on the Place aux Herbes, offer you gourmet local products. What could be better than going shopping at the market on foot, strolling through the pedestrian streets with many small shops, having a morning coffee in the many bars with beautiful terraces, or dining in town without ever taking your car on vacation!
A large outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts are accessible 10 minutes walk from the apartment as well as the "Eure Valley" with large shaded walking areas along the Alzon river and marked hiking trails. You can also rent bikes to ride on the "Voie Verte" which goes to the "Pont du Gard" (about 10km).
We love our life in UZES, and we take advantage every day of this city of Art and History, almost pedestrianized, with many Art galleries and very trendy shops, the "Votive Festival" (this year from 4 to August 7, 2023), the wonderful setting of the Eure Valley, the Truffle Weekend in mid-January in Uzès, the pottery village of Saint-Quentin-la poterie, wild swimming in the Gardon at Collias, hikes in the Cévennes, and excursions to the beach 1 hour away, without forgetting the Camargue (Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, Aigues-Mortes, Arles…) and its wild landscapes, the Theater Festival of Avignon, the Drawing Festival and the Photographic Meetings of Arles… At your disposal on your arrival: tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, oil, coffee... Cécile, the owner? Had furnished the apartment with much love and attention to detail. She had thought about everything guests may need with a book of instructions for all in the apartment. The double glazing kept out the noise from outdoors. Fabulous experience.

This property and the owner and manager are all incredible. The location is perfect for spending time in the city center, the Place Aux Herbes, and also excellent for leaving the town to tour the area. The flat is well furnished, the kitchen is well appointed and lovely and open. The beds are extremely comfortable and the porch is beautiful. We did not wish to leave. The team is great to work with and everything was better than advertised.

Where to begin! This was the most cozy, comfortable, beautifully decorated apartment we have stayed in. The pictures and description are great but seeing it in person is even better. From the moment we walked in we immediately knew we were “home” for the next 11 days in Uzes. We were greeted by Anne who is wonderful. She explained everything we needed to know about the apartment. And was very responsive when we had a question. There wasbooklet with information about Uzes. Most importantly there were instructions In English on how to use every appliance! So helpful. The apartment is fully equipped! A complete professional kitchen, lovely modern bathroom with a magnifying mirror and a professional hair dryer which I SO appreciated. Washer! Love being able to keep up on laundry.M/BD has a beautiful veranda/sitting room complete with a toaster, tea kettle and dishes to have your morning coffee or tea and look out at the beautiful trees and if not too hot you can open the gorgeous sliding windows and listen to the birds. The master has A large walk in closet with plenty of hangers & shelf space. There is a Sonos speaker easy to connect for musicwe loved listening to jazz over our coffee and fresh croissant from the boulangerie across the streetThe apt is on the Main Street in Uzes which is hustling during the day especially market days. We walked everywhere! Just the perfect location and Cecile is the perfect host! We will definitely be backCris & Janis 6/2025

The historic village of Uzès has many beautiful things to see. Cécile’s apartment on Boulevard Gambetta is one of them. We have been in dozens of French rental accommodations over the last ten years and very rarely do we say, “When we come back we are staying here”. The apartment is perfectly located near the center of Uzès, Le Place des Herbes, a great boulangerie is right across the street and there was easy access to everything we needed for our two week stay. The apartment itself is the best equipped we have ever seen. Not just the modern kitchen, which had everything, but every little amenity a couple would need was there. Lots of room to move around in, too. A big living area, good-sized bedroom and bed with a walk-in closet, enclosed veranda off of the bedroom and, importantly, lots of good lighting. My wife especially appreciated the excellent lighting in the bathroom for applying make-up.
Cécile was the most attentive hostess and helped us with whatever we needed. Thank you, Cécile, for a very comfortable stay.
Uzès is a charming village. Nice people, lots of fun places to eat and a vibrant town center, Place des Herbes, which has the best market day of any French village we’ve visited. Free parking was close and we always found a spot.
We highly recommend this lovely apartment in Uzès.
