Stylish Uzes Centre Apartment with a Large Terrace

It was a great place to stay , a couple of things to note, it was disappointing that we couldn’t use the terrace as the umbrella was broken. Also there was no cork screw when all French wine has a cork. The only other thing was it would be useful to have some information about how things work & what to do with garbage etc. otherwise the apartment was very comfortable. Thanks

A small staircase in a medieval house leads to a modern and well equiped two-and-a-half storey appartment right in the center of Uzès. Everything you ever want to do or see in Uzès is a few minutes by feet away. We recommend the market on saturdays. Stephanie, the landlord, is very kind. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Beautyful, cozy, clean Apartment.

This is the most amazing apartment. For starters its been furnished to an incredibly high standard; there is a brand new kitchen meeting all your needs, an attractive and comfortable lounge with tv wifi etc. The bedroom is light airy and spacious and overlooks a beautiful terrace where we sat for breakfast and evening drinks. The apartment is also in a fantastic location- central yet tucked away in a safe pretty cobbled side street. Just across the main central road that surroundings Uzes are so many lovely cafés, restaurants, interesting shops; it is great just to stroll through the cobbled medieval streets and take in the scenery. Wed heard that Market day on Wednesday was good too and we werent disappointed. We bought all the ingredients we needed to cook a delicious meal back at the apartment- this was the only meal we ate in, as the restaurants are all so tempting.For day trips we went to Pont du Gard and Nimes both really close especially by car and took in the unique Roman sights of an aquaduct and amphitheatre. We also managed a trip to a lovely nearby independent vineyard called Les Lys where the owner Olivier spent a long time telling us about his delicious wine while we sampled some bottles and had a look at the huge vats of fermenting grape juice- they had just had the harvest- the smell was amazing!All in all a very successful family holiday made even more successful by having such a comfortable place to stay. Our 2 teenage children felt very at home here and although there is reduced headroom as you climb up to the mezzanine open plan bedroom they managed this very well despite them being both very tall!I would like to thank Stephanie,the owner, for her attention to detail which made our arrival and departure effortless, including helping to arranging parking and leaving a lovely welcome basket.I would definitely recommend this apartment and Uzes in the autumn.
