Apartament a Sant Antoni de Calonge

El apartamento en si. Todo muy cuidado, menaje completo, cómodo, el entorno muy agradable, supermercado cerca, la dueña un encanto, en buen lugar para visitar lugares de la Costa Brava. También el aparcamiento.

Está todo bien.

Appartement très bien équipé et très propre. Lits confortables. Quartier très calme (hors saison). Très bon accueil et flexibilité alors que nous sommes arrivés en retard. Région magnifique. Proximité des plages ainsi que des supermarchés (à 300 mètres à pied). Place de parking privative et sécurisée. Sans le voisin du dessous tout aurait été parfait !

Le voisin du dessous TRES bruyant. D'une part il mettait sa télévision ou sa musique très fort depuis le milieu de matinée jusqu'à au moins minuit sans interruption; comme il n'y a pas de bonne isolation phonique, on en "profite" pleinement toute la journée et surtout, impossible de s'endormir le soir avant que ce monsieur n'arrête son bruit. D'autre part il a un chien qui aboie et grogne tout le temps dès qu'il aperçoit quelqu'un, nous y compris dès que l'on sort sur la terrasse ou que l'on se montre à la fenêtre, ce qui est très rapidement pénible.

The apartment was exceptionally well stocked with pretty much all you would need. It was very clean and tidy, with plenty of cleaning products available. Pilar was very friendly and thanks to Google translate we were given a thorough welcome and shown how to use all the kitchen appliances etc. There are plenty of free standing fans in the bedrooms, which was a really nice touch. The apartment is well laid out, and each bedroom is large. The balcony was adequate for 6 adults to eat, drink and play games at the table, but it might be a bit small for energetic children. It was nice to have a TV and although I'm sure you could connect your laptop etc to it, we didn't - preferring to just change the language settings when there was something we wanted to watch. The a/c unit worked but there were no batteries in the remote, so we swapped the tv remote batteries when needed! The pool was a nice size for the complex and was refreshing (so I'm told as I didn't go in), plus there are good steps to allow accompanied children to go in safely. This is a lovely place for exploring the area, and Girona is roughly half an hour away. There are multiple great shops in walking distance. The covered car parking was a real boon in the heat.

Being British we were sad that there was no kettle, but we bought one for 11€, so tea and coffee were easily available! There is a pod coffee machine provided though. The shower cubicle was fairly small, and the curtain didn't really keep the water in, so you need to mop the floor immediately after a shower, so that could be improved. The shower over the bath was fine - we did have a slight problem but it was remedied very quickly, and I'm sure it will be fully fixed before anyone else uses the apartment. As I've said, there were no batteries in the a/c remote. On a personal level, I would have preferred a brighter light in the master bedroom as it only has a soft light lamp on the dresser, and 2 bedside downlights.
