Metropolitana's Zois Apartments

The apartment is located in a beautiful historic building with charming wooden staircases. Our apartment was on the first floor. Everything was beautifully renovated, spotlessly clean, and exactly as shown in the photos. It was a perfect place for both a short and a longer stay. As a family of four, we found it comfortable and well-equipped for our visit. Convenient parking spaces are available right in front of the building, and a laundry room is located just a short walk from the apartment. The location is excellent, providing an ideal base for exploring the area. The charming town has a wonderful atmosphere, and Lake Bled, Lake Bohinj, the Vogel cable car, and Savica Waterfall are all within easy driving distance. The communication with the host was excellent, and everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out.

Comfortable self check in, very quiet location, mountain views from the windows, a very spacious apartment, clean and tidy, everything prepared, a fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms with toilets — one with a shower and the other with a spacious bathtub, and plenty of parking space, beautiful mountains and nature around worth to see.

On the photos on Booking.com, I only found the apartment, not the whole building. The building appears to be a large renovated guesthouse (maybe styled like a small chateau). There used to be a restaurant downstairs, but it's now closed. The entrance and the overall approach to the apartment are really not pleasant. A table with a mirror blocks access to a toilet that is not meant to be used, the walls are chipped and dirty, a window is broken, and the doors are in mismatched colors. The area between the building entrance and the apartment on the second floor felt depressing to me — I'm sorry to say it that way — and two words came to mind: neglected maintenance. My impression before entering the apartment was: this can’t be it, can it? But if you close your eyes at the entrance and quickly run up two flights of stairs, then the apartment is fine. However, based on the current rating (9.4*) when I booked the stay, it definitely didn’t strike me as something truly exceptional.
