About this house rental
This newly renovated lakeside camp has lots of sleeping accommodations, and ample family space with a vaulted great room and huge deck.
The large lawn leads to a dock that can accommodate 4 boats. Adirondack chairs surround a fire pit lakeside for smores at night. 3 kayaks, two paddleboards and a canoe for your use to explore the lakes.
Incredible views, and a family room with a Ping-Pong table provide fun for everyone.
Five-minute walk to the waterpark keeps your car in the drive, and no fighting the mobs.
Also, less than five more minutes on foot to the heart of Old Forge, and the bars and restaurants. Close to the most important snow mobile trails and a quick drive to McCauley Ski Mountain.
Also, full kitchen and large dining area for nights at home and on the gigantic deck, while you take in the lakefront sunset views and watch the deer walk up the lawn.

From mid-June to mid Sept weekly rentals only - Sun-Sun.

Overall, the VRBO house was good. The positives: location on the lake and town. Our host was very responsive to my texts. The negatives: while the inside of the house was clean when we arrived, the outside was not. The decks, tables and chairs were not clean, large spider webs in corners and lots of duck or goose poop on the dock and in the yard. Also, candy wrappers were in the backyard as well. The outside light to the front door did not work.

We loved the view, dock, and boating amenities that included kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. That was the best part. Proximity to downtown was also great.For the money we paid, however, we felt the house was outdated (appliances etc) and needed a larger kitchen, dining area and table for a house that could hold 10 ppl. There were only two full baths, and the third bathroom (no shower) was in an unfinished basement. The house needs a larger table outside too to fit 10 guests and needs to have a coffee maker that could make 10-12 cups. A keurig /French press is nice for a small group, not large groups.

We enjoyed our ADK week with our family! The lake view was fabulous! We were lucky to spend July 4 on the lake with front row seats to the amazing town fireworks! The location was convenient to town, as well as to other drivable beaches. The house was cozy with a retro decor. We were a bit disappointed with the small size of the grill. However the use of the canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards were a great perk!
