O'hamok family homestay

Very quiet and secluded location, but not far from the main road.

Having a credit card reader would be good, but it does not affect the quality of the stay.

The 'apartments' are built in a traditional way that allows for air-flow and consequently keeps the rooms cool during the day and night. The fan is more than enough to cool oneself during the day (and it's also very useful for blowing mosquitos away at night, which meant I didn't even need to use the mosquito netting around the bed). The property is full of tropical trees and plants, flowers, and a few little animals and birds, as well as a pool of water in the center. ... The breakfast is simple, but exactly what I like to eat in the morning, with delicious mango jam and baguette and butter (and coffee). The hosts are incredibly warm, friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They speak mainly French, but also English (and Khmer). I stayed for a week and I enjoyed my stay very much. If I return to Battambang I will surely stay here again.

Verwunschener Garten, liebevoll gebaute traditionelle Häuser, ruhige Lage mit Vogelgezwitscher, sehr nette Familie, toller Austausch. Die Tagesführung mit Sarom in der Umgebung ist einzigartig, dadurch kommt man sehr gut mit Land und Leuten, Geschichte und Traditionen in Kontakt. Wir sind begeistert und können dieses Homestay nur empfehlen.

Wir können die guten Bewertungen auch nicht so teilen! Man kommt zwar in einem herrlichen Garten, wird super freundlich empfangen und wird zu seinem Bungalow geführt wurden . Allerdings ist es brutal heiß und im Bungalow entsprechend auch . Es gibt aber überall Ventilatoren, die es erträglicher machen. Allerdings ist das nichts für große Menschen, denn mein Freund stand gebückt im ‚Bad‘.

Wir checkten eher wieder aus und gingen ins Blue Diamond Hostel ( für 10 Dollar/ Nacht mit Klima und Pool ). Also blieben nur eine Nacht und haben dort das meiste bezahlt mit 46 Dollar !!! , was wir in den letzten drei Wochen Laos und Kambodscha bis jetzt hatten! Es Wurde uns zwar nur eine Nacht angerechnet, aber die Gebühren und der Schnickschnack fanden wir völlig überteuert, zumal die echt extrem abgelegen liegen. Außerdem gibt es betrunkene Nachbarn , die bis in die Nacht Karaoke sangen und wie gesagt , es ist sehr heiß!
