La Chouette d'Amboise

We kwamen hier voor de tweede keer. De eerste keer waren we al enthousiast, maar nu waren er ook fluisterstille ventilatoren in woon- en slaapkamer, die het ondanks de meer dan 30 graden probleemloos koel hielden. De gastheer- en gastvrouw, die op de zelfde lokatie wonen, zijn zeer aardig en bijzonder attent. Het heerlijke, goed verzorgde, zwembad was gezien de warmte extra aangenaam. Veilig parkeren op het erf. Op loopafstand van het centrum van Amboise, en vlak bij de fietsroute langs de Loire.

The property was well designed, comfortable and pristine clean

It was a good 20 minutes walk to the centre but this slight inconvenience was far outweighed by the lovely hosts and property

We arrived at the cottage and were warmly greeted by the hosts. They oriented us to the living space and all the appliances. Written instructions were also provided in English. The place was exceptionally clean and had all the comforts of home. The hosts left a bottle of local wine for us as a welcome gift. The kitchen was fully equipped and we cooked every day. A very large grocery store is minutes away by car. Bathroom was modern with ceramic tile. High quality washing machine and dishwasher worked well. AC and WIFI worked well. There were ceiling fans in each bedroom. The outdoor space is a perfect way to relax. Beautiful patio, with motorized awning, overlooking an inground pool which the host maintains daily. The location is perfect as a home base for exploring the Loire Valley. City Centre is within walking distance. The hosts live next door but respect your privacy. They are available if needed and their main concern is that you feel ‘at home’ in their place and we certainly did. Would highly recommend this accommodation.
