Great location close to beach om a charming neighborhood. Nice hottub. But, house was musty smelling, esp. in master bedroom, the jalousie windows in the main bathroom were impossible to close and had no screens, hence a lot of flies at mealtimes; only 2 handtowels and washclothes were provided (though plenty of bath towels, and the agent did come up with a few more eventually), no tissues, the water filtration system in the kitchen produced only a trickle, carpet nails were sticking up from several carpeted areas, the front steps lack a readily accessible banister and seem unlikely to be code-compliant, no mirrors in the bedrooms, no dressers in the bedrooms or anywhere else, no microwave or dishwasher, and although the listing said the place is air-conditioned, that came down to a portable air conditioner with a hose to stick out the window that was extremely noisy and only had any effect in the particular room you put it in. For the high rate we paid, we expected more.

Fantastic neighborhood and such a neat cottage house, so close to the beach, walking distance to an excellent coffee shop and market place store, 7-11 etc but otherwise very quiet and tranquil. We had a great stay and everything was as advertised. The house is charming, not new but that is the charm. We loved it!

We had an amazing stay in this perfect beach cottage! Lots of charm in the house itself and it’s very tastefully decorated, too. Beds were comfy and the house had everything we needed. The location was fantastic- a quick walk to the beach in one direction (we loved watching the surfers) and a quick walk for coffee in the other direction. Owners were very easy to work with. We’d stay again in a heartbeat!

This quaint little cottage perfectly fit our needs. It was just me and my three kids, but we could have easily fit two more people. The house itself is charming with a lush garden and cozy interior space. While it is an older home, the updates improved accessibility without altering the original design. The hot tub in the back was a lovely added touch. The location is ideal with a three minute walk to the beach and a three minute drive to downtown La Jolla. There are also plenty of restaurants in easy walking distance. I would stay here again and have already recommended the home to friends and family.

This charming beach cottage was a perfect home base for my two pre-teen boys and mom while we explored La Jolla and the surrounding area. The location was perfect - a block from the beach and steps away from a market for breakfast essentials. A quick drive or 1.5mi walk to La Jolla center and sea lion hangouts! We loved the hot tub and the convenience of laundry. The garden and outdoor space was impressive and fresh flowers inside were a lovely touch! Highly recommend and would stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay - the cottage and grounds were absolutely beautiful and incredibly charming. The rooms were spacious, the beds very comfortable, and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. With four adults and a three year old, there was plenty of space for the group to hang out together or separately, inside or outside, and everyone was comfortable and happy. We would have loved a few extra weeks and are already talking about returning. We enjoyed watching birds visiting the flowers in the yard and spending time with the cat who visited too - he’s a sweetie!

We loved this home for our long weekend. We didn’t rent a car and walked all over. There are good restaurants and coffee shops and a nice little market right up the block. The hot tub was just what the doctor ordered. We were a short walk from the beach and could see it from the sidewalk of the house. Great weekend. Great location.

We loved our stay at this house right down the street from Windansea Beach! Lovely garden on the property and front porch that is perfect for morning coffee or evening glass of wine. It's in a great neighborhood with lots of coffee shops and restaurants walkable nearby. Would definitely stay again- Crystal is a great host!

This home is charming and was perfect for our summer vacation! The property grounds are beautiful! The beds we’re comfortable as well as the general furniture. The communication with Crystal was outstanding! Crystal even replaced the Keurig for us the same day. There were extras such as bottled water, wine and beach accessories (chairs, boogie boards, chair), which I thought was very nice! The home is VERY close to the beach and walking distance to shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay at this beautiful historic home again!

The stay could not have been better! We loved the charming house, and it could not have been a better location a few blocks away from a very local beach. The house was also very close to convenience stores, good food and a nice 15 minute walk to downtown La Jolla (I recommend walking through the side streets and by the beach!). I stayed with my wife and another couple, and it was perfect for the four of us - the bedrooms were very cozy, the house was perfectly clean and had everything we could ever need. I'd love to stay there again my next time in San Diego, thanks again!

We had a great time staying at this house for spring break. It is decorated very nicely. The beds were very comfortable, and there were several sleeping options for our two young kids. The location was great - the beach and lots of coffee shops and restaurants were within walking distance. We will definitely be back!

I stayed at this house during my destination wedding trip to SD. It is a historic beach house steps away from a beautiful beach; older building but full of charm. We were staying during an unusually cold week for the region, so it was very cold at night at this house; however, the hosts provided plenty of space heaters that were available for us to use. KItchen has pretty much anything you need, bedrooms are cute and beds are comfortable, everything was very clean. I would definitely stay there again and again!

We stayed in this sweet house for a month. It was just what we wanted: on a quiet and friendly street, walking distance from the ocean, coffee shops, the grocery store and a book store. Parking was no problem. The space was cozy and classy, a big green couch, porches, flower gardens, a hot tub, twinkling lights that turned on and off automatically, comfortable beds. Crystal (the property manager) responded quickly to our queries and was always positive and pleasant. We would (and plan to) return to this spot in a heartbeat.

Met up with some friends and stayed at this lovely location for 3 nights. The place was spotless, cozy, and quiet. The beds were super comfy. The king was perfect, the queen is quite soft. The kitchen was great for making easy meals, though are only the basics available and no dishwasher. Recommend for a trip with friends, but may be tough with young children. We really enjoyed the hot tub, though it really only fits 3-4 people. Amazing to be one block from the beach, and was really walkable to coffee, grocery store, and restaurants. Had a great stay! Thank you!

This house and location were perfect for my husband and teen daughter. Minutes walk down to the beach and short walk to town and restaurants. Back yard had boogie boards and beach chairs, which we used at the local beach and also when we went to other beaches in the area. Hot tub in the evening was a nice way to end the day. Crystal was very responsive to any questions or requests. While there isn't a driveway, we found on street parking near the house the entire week we were there. The house is charming with anything you would need. We used the kitchen to cook many meals.

The property was amazing and our stay was perfect! The hosts could not have been more helpful, responsive, and gracious. Fresh avocados, lemons and a lovely bottle of wine awaited us. The house is beautiful and so thoughtfully appointed. Location-wise, I walked barefoot to the beach each day and swam in the Pacific Ocean. Great coffee and food close by too. We didn't want to leave!
