Spend your vacation in this welcoming, super cute sunny cottage just a few houses up from La Jolla Boulevard and just a short walk two blocks to picturesque Windansea Beach. Gather at sunsets with the family and other beachgoers to submerge yourself in the joys of Windansea.
This spacious home comfortably sleeps six in beds and is also a great option for anyone who wishes to spend the winter months in a warmer climate in a beautiful seaside community. Walk up the serene tree-lined brick sidewalk of this home and when you open the door you will find yourself in a sunny great room with lots of large windows making it feel light bright and airy. The living room area has lots of comfortable cluster seating from which everyone can watch the large flat screen TV. A ceiling fan for your comfort is also a wonderful extra. Next to the living room is a desk space for remote working and a four-seat dining table with a kitchen breakfast bar for two. The nearby kitchen has everything you need to satisfy your culinary desires just add the food and camaraderie and have fun.
The primary queen bedroom also has a ceiling fan a large closet and an updated ensuite bath. Down the hallway the middle bedroom has two twin beds perfect for kids with the second queen bedroom featuring AC, a large closet and front of house views. The expansive private backyard features a large seating area for the whole family a firepit a large turf area for kids and pups to play and a lounge area with fruit trees for the picking.
There is also a second full shared bathroom off the hallway and all beds and bathrooms are furnished with an ample supply of premiere linens for your ultimate comfort.
This home is in an ideal location close to both the beach and all the shops museums and restaurants of La Jolla Village. This little slice of paradise never fails to delight with the shimmering Pacific and the ever-changing colors of the evening sky just two of the surprises that will enhance your stay on the beautiful Southern California coastline. We stayed in this property once before. However, we do not recall the bed in the master suite being so awful. The mattress is shot. We ended up laying on top of each other in the middle of the bed because the mattress is severely sunk in the middle. The pillows are awful too. I suspect they have some kind of protective plastic cover under the pillow case, which makes it like sleeping on a big zip lock baggie. I ended up on the couch several nights, but the couch is NOT comfortable to sleep on. Lack of sleep had a very real negative impact on our vacation.
Overall, the property isn't bad. But if you plan on sleeping in the master bedroom, you may want to reconsider - and at the very least, bring your own bedding.
