Mattress was a bit on the hard side.

Would just like to caveat this review by saying i don’t often write reviews but this stay was just exceptional. Everything about it was excellent, the best stay we have had in Vietnam by far. If i ever come back to Vietnam im going straight back here. Before I get onto the accommodation itself, I must say the owner and his wife are the most welcoming, attentive and accommodating hosts I have ever had (and i have stayed in many a homestays - albeit most in central america). The wife and aunt cooked us homemade breakfast every morning, would continuously check up on us (me and another girl were travelling together), and on our last day before departure invited us to their dining table and cooked us a delicious rice and egg dish. We also spent some time sat down with the host whilst we waited at the accommodation for our bus to nihh binh, and he told us stories about how he lived in Japan for 27 years working in construction, and hence made his hotel japan themed. He built the entire hotel by hand and spent all of Covid just building additional features of the hotel. You could see the love and pride he has for what he does. The rooms and bathrooms were well equipped and very clean (cleanliness was an issue we struggled with at most of our other stays). The bed was very comfortable, the AC worked well, and the room was very well furnished (had futon like tables to open our backpacks and suitcases on). The hotel itself feels like a little japanese themed oasis.

Very clean, comfortable and big beds, good air conditioning, al la carte breakfast, very central location, not noisy.

The location couldn't be more convenient. Everything is nearby: cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, the dock for catching the boats, and at the same time, it's quiet because it's on a side street, just a few meters and steps from the main road. So you don't hear the noise from the streets and motorbikes. My room and bathroom were always exceptionally clean and spotless, and it was a very good size for me. Comfortable, bright, and perfectly adequate. Hot water and good pressure in the shower. Air conditioning and a fan. They always offered me breakfast, tea, and fruit, although I didn't take it because I don't usually eat breakfast that early, but their kindness and friendliness were always evident. I did have some fruit when I wanted it, and I really appreciated it. They were always incredibly kind, and I felt very welcome and well taken care of. Mr. Tai is incredibly kind and attentive. He was always ready to help with my requests. He even has a pulley system to hoist luggage up if you're staying on a higher floor. In my case, I stayed on the second and third floors. I know they also have bicycles (and maybe motorcycles) for rent. I didn't use them because I preferred to walk everywhere. It's just a few steps from my favorite coffee shop, Dham Khe, which I also highly recommend. Honestly, I have no complaints. I would stay here again. I recommend it for those looking for a convenient location within walking distance of everything.

Nothing; in fact, as soon as I heard an uncomfortable noise in my room during the night, I told Mr. Tai, and he was kind enough to move me to another room.
