This has potential to be a great property. Villa was large and had good sized rooms. Pool is small but very useful for cooling off in evenings.

All furniture was stained. One room had a musty smell probably due to shower overflowing evey time it was used. There is a full kitchen and pool area but we were provided with 1 bowl & plate, 2 glasses and 4 cups for 4 people. We had to ask for glasses. There was only rusty patio furniture and no where to really sit outside. Outside areas was generally unkempt. A washing machine was provided but no where to hang or dry washing. Very overpriced. without a car we would have struggled to get around as not walking distance to anywhere.

The rustic deco really caught my attention when i first entered the room. The dark brown wooden concept with the view facing the pool and the mangrove was really spectacular. The service from the staff must be commented as well. They were very friendly and accommodating adds us to the whole experience. Location of the villa is also perfect, nearby to almost everywhere and what i really like is it has nearby supermarket and pharmacies which in my case really comes in handy to buy diapers and some emergency medication. My kids love the pool the most, and although the pool is outdoor it was surprisingly very clean and not too cold, perfect for early morning and night plunge.

There were a few wear and tear and clenliness issue which is not a big deal. The bed nearest to the pool is pretty used up, you can see that the mattress has sunken in the center and it pretty hard. There were stains on the sofas, and loose fittings for ecample the rain shower. When we first checked in we found a left over of liquor bottle in one of the chest box and cigarette buds in one of the toilet. Through out our stay despite they coming over to clean the rooms, the cigeratte bud is still there for the whole of my duration. Also, expect some bugs and a lot of lizards outside the room. Make sure all doors are close to keep the lizards out.

Spacious villa with great views, but service coordination needs improvement We stayed at Royal Riviera Private Pool Villas, Langkawi for 6 nights with 5 adults and 4 children. The villa was spacious, and the private pool and views were the highlights. The villa staff were also polite and friendly.

Unfortunately, there were several issues with communication and coordination. We booked with breakfast included, but after 4 nights we were suddenly told that breakfast was included only for 6 people and the remaining 3 would be charged. This was never communicated during booking or check-in. After we raised the issue and clarified, the resort agreed not to charge us. However, on the day of checkout, we were again presented with a bill for the additional breakfasts and had to explain the situation once more. This created unnecessary confusion and frustration. The restaurant service was quite slow, with food often taking a long time to arrive. Requests such as no eggs/no chicken were acknowledged but were not followed correctly. The airport transfer was another disappointment. Airport pickup and drop-off were included in our booking. We reminded the team 2 days before checkout and again at 8 AM on the checkout day. However, around 11 AM, we were told that the drop-off vehicle was unavailable as it was under service. Interestingly, the same vehicle that had picked us up was parked in front of our villa for the previous 4 days. After raising our concern, the same vehicle was arranged within minutes. The airport is only around 10 minutes from the property, so better coordination would have easily avoided this last-minute stress. The villa itself was good, but the kitchen utensils were old, the main beds were uncomfortable, and the bedsheets were quite faded and were not changed during our 6-night stay.
