About this cabin rental
Summary:
This ski cabin is the perfect place for a secluded getaway! Come see the stunning nature of southern Idaho, right outside your bedroom window. We are located about 12 minutes from Pocatello proper, 40 minutes from Lava Hot Springs, and a beautiful 30 minute drive from Pebble Creek Ski Area. We can comfortably host 8 people in our 4 bedrooms. Perfect for ski/snowboard trip, small family reunion, or weekend getaway! The property is gated. If booking in the winter, you WILL NEED 4-wheel drive.
The Space:
On the main floor, you'll find a spacious living room with a fireplace and TV. There are large windows that let in great natural light and a beautiful view. In the kitchen, we have a table that seats 4 and a bar that also seats 4. Laundry is right off the kitchen. The main floor also includes 2 bedrooms, 1 with a King and one with a twin. The bathroom has a jetted tub. From the living room, you can easily access the back deck. Downstairs, we have another large living space with a TV, and two bedrooms. One with a king, and one with a double/twin bunk bed. There is a bathroom as well. From the basement, you can access the fire pit area. We do not currently have a fire pit, but it is a nice sitting area! This is also where you can store snow gear.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire home. It is on a gated property and there are two other homes in the area, one being a barn that is being this home. People do stay here, so you may see other cars on the drive.
The Neighborhood:
The neighborhood is quite spread out. Within our gated area, there are 3 homes. One you will can see from the front yard, the other in a red shed about 70 yards behind the Cabin that has been converted into a apartment. Both are occupied. The guy who lives in the shed has a cute dog that occasionally says hi.
Getting Around:
The best mode of transportation is car. There is parking on the property. The driveway/road to the house is paved, but in the winter can be slick. We keep it plowed, and the main road is maintained by the city.
Other Things to Note:
You will need 4 wheel drive in the winter. Please be aware the home is in the mountains. Wifi can be spotty. You may be exposed to bugs, mice, animal droppings, etc. Absolutely no events allowed. Evidence of events will result in additional charges of unauthorized additional guests, cleaning, and maintenance fees for failure to abide by rules and policies.
Interaction with Guests:
An onsite manager resides in the red barn at the back of the property to ensure guest support while respecting your privacy.

We stay at this house every year. The location is absolutely stunning. I think this was our 4th time visiting. I can say, that everytime we have been there, something doesn’t work. This time the living room TV and jet tub didn’t work. Prior to that, the upstairs bathroom didn’t work. When you stay bring everything. There isn’t a lot of dishes. Bring paper plates, grill, skillet etc. with that being said, we always love our stay. I would be elated if on our next trip everything was in working order. Totally worth the rental though. We will definitely come back for our annual trip.
