About this cottage rental
You have found your perfect Smoky Mountain escape. Our cottage is tucked away on a lake community right in the Smoky Mountains and offers you all modern day amenities and conveniences with Great Smoky Mountains National Park literally in our back yard. We are perfectly located for hiking with the trail heads to Cade's cove and Abrams Falls both only about 1/2 mile from the cottage. Come submerge yourself in the nature on the peaceful side of the Smokies.
Townsend is only about 20-25 minutes away via one of the most scenic drives in the Eastern US, Foothills Parkway. Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and Knoxville are all less than an hour's drive and perfect for day trips that can be concluded with your escape back to the beauty and serenity of our verdant nature paradise.
Our quaint cottage is on it's own private side road with plenty of sleeping space, full kitchen and everything you need for meal preparation including all necessary condiments, and high speed internet. Extra large capacity Maytag washer and dryer with detergent available. Outdoor hammock with fire pit and evening string lights for ambience. Come start your day in nature enjoying the quiet on the porch with your morning tea, coffee or espresso; and end your day with a glass of wine by the outdoor fire. Your stay with us gets you lake access at the community recreation area that also has bathrooms, basketball courts and a covered pavilion for picnics.
We also have kayaks available for you to rent and use on the lake.
My husband and I live right around the corner and will be available to help you with anything you need during your time with us.

We enjoyed our weekend stay in this cozy cottage. The property lived up to its description, was clean, and provided all necessary conveniences. A short walk or drive provided lake views. Very peaceful!

This was the second time this summer, that I stayed at this cottage and just like the first time, everything was wonderful. We like it so much that we are actually planning on trying to stay here again next year. The hosts are very accommodating and respond very quickly to issues that you contact them about. The cottage is very clean and well stocked and we were very happy with our girls weekend there.

This property is exactly like the pictures, but better. I usually expect a a weathered look but walking in, I thought it was just remodeled, yes after I a day or two you see a paint chip or scuff mark but the is the cleanest, best kept and welcoming home I have ever rented and I can't wait to go back. We had a hiccup with the WiFi but the owner came over and helped immediately when we contacted them. They have thought of so much to help make the stay more comfortable and I truly appreciate their efforts. I didn't realize, when I booked it, that this cute cottage was located walking distance from a stunning lake, I will bring my kayaks next time. I booked it for the quiet, I live in a town by a noisy gas station and railroad tracks so I wanted the trees and quiet and I got it. Some dogs barked but not all the time and you can barely see another house. This place was heavenly to me.

This was a great place to relax. We had everything needed for a no stress weekend. Will be telling friends about this place The Top Of The World was great.
